He's a defensive midfielder, yet he makes mistakes like that? A defensive midfielder should not lose the ball. A defensive midfielder takes the ball off an opponent, whether he uses his strength or his cleverness is unrelative and holds possession.
Yes, Song has his good things too. He made two very good passes this season, I noticed that too, but he is very wasteful in his passing aswell. Maybe I was too harsh on him, but the lad makes so many stupid mistakes that I question his level of intelligence. I mean, look at the video, there's two, three players on the left waiting for the ball to arrive, yet he decides to take on three players in his own box. Stupid, very stupid decision, after a good interception.
I don't rate him. He makes too many mistakes to be a good defensive midfielder imo. Good player on his day, nothing more, nothing less. Whenever he stops making stupid decisions, stops dribbling and stays in position to do his job I'll probably start rating him again.
Oh, yeah, didn't Szczesny do the same thing as Coquelin a while ago when he was on his last year of his contract? Guess Wenger will sort it out soon enough, but yeah, doesn't look like Wenger's done well there.
