I think the biggest tidbit of information here is that his wife approved this move so I think it could happen. I think she really want to live in a fashionable town which is why she likes this idea as well. This is something worth keeping an eye on. It also would result in Beckham playing in four of the top five European leagues and I am not sure if anyone has done that before.Big-spending Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain are ready to offer LA Galaxy midfielder David Beckham a lucrative contract, according to reports in France.GettyImagesDavid Beckham: Joined LA Galaxy in 2007
• Beckham on PSG's radar
French newspaper Le Parisien claims that PSG officials will meet with Beckham, 36, in Los Angeles on Wednesday in order to offer the global football icon a tempting deal.
Director of football Leonardo revealed last month that PSG were considering a move for the former England captain and it appears the Qatari-owned club intend to snap up the LA star when his MLS contract expires in November.
PSG will reportedly offer Beckham a two-year contract worth €4-5 million that will make him the club's top earner alongside Argentina international Javier Pastore, who signed from Palermo in a €39 million deal in July.
Le Parisien reports that Beckham's wife, Victoria, has already approved a potential move to the French capital - while the Ligue 1 leaders hope to secure a decision from the player by the middle of October.
When asked last month if PSG would sign former Manchester United and Real Madrid midfielder Beckham, Leonardo said: "The door is open. He is more than a football player - he's a brand, a pop star. I would always consider him. He respects the rules, listens to you and wants the best for the team. That's why for me he is a big example. I worked with him and that's why I talk about his name."
"I coached him at AC Milan and we created a good relationship," Leonardo told BBC Sport. "He is more than a football player, but when you see him every day he trains and plays like a kid. He is someone that I really appreciate and admire so much - his values and everything he has done in football."
A number of Premier League clubs, including Tottenham and QPR, have been linked with a move for Beckham and former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson also hopes to sign his old charge for Leicester City in a player-coach role.
Eriksson told The Times: "I have already had that discussion with him. I spoke to him about Leicester.
"Beckham, he will never say no to me - he says, 'Sven, we'll see, we'll see'. The big thing is what he wants to do when his contract finishes in LA. Will he want to go on playing?''
Eriksson knows his League Championship side, who have received substantial investment from their Thai owners, will face stiff competition from other clubs. However, the Swede hopes the added incentive of a training role will help tip the balance."We will give him a whistle and he can go out (on the training pitch) straight away,'' he said.

Honestly I believe that Beckham will take Sven on his offer of a coaching role at Leicester. I dunno why but he seems like the kinda player who would want to get into being a manager.

I can't imagine Victoria would let him move to Leicester.

I wouldn't mind having Beckham in a player/coaching role where he could come off the bench if need be or start while training the youngsters and helping the team on their crosses (bar Bale obviously) and set pieces. Would help us immensely, plus think of the revenue the club would get through merchandise and sponsorship deals. Having Beckham is win-win.
At first I thought Beckham going to PSG was laughable, then I remembered their like mega rich now PLUS their based in Paris, a city the Beckhams I'm sure would love to live in one day after being in LA. Only thing I suppose would be the kids and whether taking them out of school (if they are, I'm not sure how old they are) is the right move at this point. Wouldn't surprise me if they did move though.

I thought RVN had played in Italy but then I realised he hadn't so I changed it.James wrote:Splashy wrote:

No.
Henry has played in the French, Spanish and English league. He hasn't played in the Germany or Italian leagues.
RVN has played in Spain, England and Germany. Not France or Italy.
Thierry Henry played for Juventus before he joined Arsenal.

Humm it is interesting that all of the players that have played in several of the elite European leagues all did not play in Germany.

Initially I thought that Spurs would be his first choice club but I'm not too sure he would want to commit himself to Spurs whilst it looks like Redknapp is on his way out, I doubt he'd want to sign a contract knowing that their will be a brand new manager in less than 12 months.
EDIT: It wouldn't surprise me if he stayed in America and tried to help bring the league up and build its global recognition ever since Beckham's move to L.A the MLS has rocketed in revenue and talent and I believe that was one of the factors in his move, to increase the global awareness of MLS.

Completely forgot about the possibility of Harry leaving soon (end of season/after Euros). Maybe he feels he's done enough and can't do anymore, with players like Henry, Tainio, Marquez etc. more players are bound to go over and experience the MLS over the transfer windows.
Obviously Becks doesn't need all the money that PSG could offer, but might just be the chance to play in the Champions League again while playing in Europe one last time and perhaps Joe Cole's move to Lille has shown him the French league is a good place to go and experience.
