Re: Manchester United FC Official Thread
Kinda glad Rooney got sent off. But I hope it isn't a knock on effect of his dad being arrested, because we know what he can be like when his mind is elsewhere.

I'm also glad that Rooney did this. Gives him plenty of time to rest ahead of our big game next Sunday.

Keep up. He has been arrested on suspicion of being involved in suspicious betting patterns along with Wayne's uncle.
Basically there was an abnormal amount of bets from the Liverpool area on a red card in a match involving Motherwell, when a Motherwell player was shown a red card right at the end for swearing at a referee. The player got arrested as well.

Did you see the clip?
The player was swearing at the ref, then grabbed the ref to make sure he was looking at him doing it.. so badly done

Because he won't be able to play for England on Tuesday.

Re: Manchester United FC Official Thread
We'll be fine with
Valencia Vidic Ferdinand Evans
In fact it might even be an improvement. Our problems in defence have stemmed from being too attacking, playing effectively 3 centre backs with one attacking full back is when we've been most successful, look at the 90s, 2006/07 (Neville/Brown), 2007/08 (Brown), 2008/09 (O'Shea ), gives us solidity at the back and a strong attacking threat.

What happened to Smalling and Jones? One of them should surely should start if fit?

Rather Jones or Smalling (when's he back? ) at full back to Valencia.

Re: Manchester United FC Official Thread
Not sure about the full backs in that side. Valencia's done well there in the past, but it's a big game for him to play in a position that he's not incredibly used to. I don't trust Evans at CB nevermind LB.

Re: Manchester United FC Official Thread
Don't trust Evans at centre back when he's done nothing wrong all season, and when he was out injured our defensively displays were poor.

Re: Manchester United FC Official Thread
Why not? I found his recent performances very underrated. Haven't complained at all this year about him. He did play @ Left back against Chelsea in the game which pretty much decided the title and he did pretty well there.thechampion wrote:Not sure about the full backs in that side. Why? Ferdinand and Vidic are better.Steadman wrote:What happened to Smalling and Jones? One of them should surely should start if fit?
Smalling's fitness is in doubt, and playing Jones would be a bit too conservative without Evra.Danny wrote:Rather Jones or Smalling (when's he back? ) at full back to Valencia.
He has played a Champions League fucking Final in that position, and I would far rather have a player I don't trust at full back that centreback.thechampion wrote:Not sure about the full backs in that side. Re: Manchester United FC Official Thread
To be honest, he didn't even play half an hour at full back in the CL Final, and the game was over by then.
Well, a few minutes into him switching there.

I meant at right back. Both of them can attack very well if needed.ResurrectionRooney wrote:Why? Ferdinand and Vidic are better.Steadman wrote:What happened to Smalling and Jones?
