There is no doubt that Owen is a top quality poacher who would walk into many teams, but I agree that at Manchester United, we have several better options than him.

He gave the keeper Leeds keeper "the eyes", should be in the England squad and a regular starter for United. Manchester United FC Official Thread - Page 7 70955

Wasn't Paul Merson was it? Im sure he said he should be making 2 phonecalls - 1 to David Moyes to say 'Come and get me' and another to some bloke who works for United saying 'Let me go'

    Agreed.

How Fergie kept that cockroach is a mystery.

Embarrassing people in the media think he should be called up to the England squad.

Scored all his goals in the Carling cup, and been a year since he has scored in division 1.

I would also concur with this statement. Berbatov was phenomenal last season and cemented his place among the top strikers in world football. If he was not part of one of world football's most deadly forward lines, then he would play a lot more often than he currently does.

Berbatov is a good player but we don't play the same with him in the side, 4th choice striker.

All you can say about the pecking order of our strikers is that Rooney is No. 1. When he's available, it's about finding the best partner for him, and in most cases, that's not Berbatov, according to Ferguson's views anyway. When he's out Berbatov will normally play. Cutting it down to 2nd choice, 3rd choice etc. is far too simplistic, and it's not fair to anyone.

Rather when Rooney was out we played Young or Nani behind a striker and Valencia right. Laughing

Yeah, was disappointed they didn't have the option for real players in 11 to put an undershirt on.

    A few Carrick stats -

Michael Carrick has started 80% of #mufc's CL games since arriving at the club. When he starts, #mufc win 68%. When not, drops to 42%.

8 - No other midfielder in any of the 31 other CL teams made more interceptions than Michael Carrick on matchday one.

#mufc concede less goals per game in Europe when Carrick starts (0.7) than when he doesn't (1.0).
