I thought there were good parts but overall not good enough, most of the time it was hoof it towards Suárez and hope he can take on the 6 hard dogs marking him.

Finishing was horrific.

Good enough for me. You have higher standards, I can respect that.

Dean wrote:James wrote:Dean, why has he changed from what was succesful last season? You destroyed Fulham at their own place (which isn't an easy thing to do) then he goes and signs immobile players such as Adam and brings another one like Carroll into the team.
Nothing has changed at all (style wise). Prior to Stoke (who we battered anyway) and Spurs today, people were raving about us, beating Arsenal away 2-0, then battering Bolton 3-0 (could of been 10-0) the football we played against Bolton, easily surpassed how we played against Fulham and we've improved a LOT since last year. You can't seriously compare the second half of the season to the start of the season now, last year we played without pressure, it was off, we could do our thing, now, the expectation is sky high, it's the start of the season, we're a new team, still gelling, lots of new players, the circumstances are totally different to last year, so I don't see how it's comparable.

Think you're setting your standards a bit too low.

You're the worst culprit of it.

Jamie, I'm irrelevant in this, forget what I'm like. You know for a fact that's what this thread is like.
Cadbury wrote:I think we have the right to complain. Today was probably the worst performance I've seen by Liverpool since the Hodgson era. It was so messy.
You're saying Dean kneejerks?Jamie wrote:Dean wrote:

I agree it's like that but it's just strange that you're saying about it.

Formidable opponents Northampton Town.

Great contribution
Jord wrote:Well Jamie like Dean said, there's plenty of kneejerkers in this thread and we all do it at one point but I've always seen Dean as one of the people who do it less often than others. I mean look at this entire charade going on at the moment. People are questioning if Kenny Dalglish is the right manager, people think we're building a team that will play like the one while Hodgson was here.
I should of mentioned that it's not just this thread. Also they're not literally saying "Kenny out". But it'll come on eventually, you'll see. We'll lose two on the trot and people will go mad again.Cadbury wrote:Jord wrote:Well Jamie like Dean said, there's plenty of kneejerkers in this thread and we all do it at one point but I've always seen Dean as one of the people who do it less often than others. Nobody's doing this.
Sheppy wrote:I think people are over exaggerating this. We went down 1-0 to a very good goal. While we still had 11 men, yeah we weren't playing great but that's because Spurs came out in front of their home crowd trying to kickstart their season. As soon as Charlie Adam was sent off, that's it, the game was over. You can't exactly judge the team after that because it was never a fair game from then on.

Of course it was a fair game, Charles Adam was rightly sent off, and he was lucky it wasn't a straight red. If a Tottenham Hotspur player had done that they'd have been treated in the exact same way.
