Shut up about Aqua, there's really no point in wishing we still had him. Even though he's just on loan.

Correct, because, Steven George Gerrard >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The Roman Flop.
What happens if this Steven Gerrard gets injured again.

Of course I am. His sarcasm will be matched.
But on a serious note though, Steven Gerrard is better than Alberto Aquilani, that's not even up for debate so don't even fucking dare go there Cadbury.
I'm not.

He was probably on half of what Torres was being paid and had a decent goal scoring record at the time we signed him. The major factor on why he has been slow in bedding in has been that injury.
His problem is similar to what Torres is had/having. He just needs to find that scoring touch to light the fire. Had that goal of stood against Sunderland I think we would've had a more confident player on the pitch.
It's the effect he has on the team though. Like I said, it's not him. it's the team.
He played betetr today though, he never really looked like he was going to score, unless Suarez left that dissalowed goal for him.
We're lacking something. It might be Gerrard, but I'm not sure.
By that do you meaning the hoofing? Don't agree with that either, but I wouldn't blame that on Carroll. It's either poor tactics from the management team or Carra has influenced the play during the game.
At the moment I'm not worried about Carroll. The defence is the bigger issue.

Then he gets injured, simple as. Won't matter anyway, Aquilani hasn't and never will have ability close to what Gerrard has had/has.

Maybe but still shouldn't have played, was very surprised to see him playing, he done very well at Newcastle but for the type of team Liverpool want to be he just isn't the right kind of striker, though I suppose when you spend 35 million on a striker you have to start giving him games eventually, maybe he'll prove me wrong.Eternal Witcher wrote:kyro7 wrote:Playing Carroll was a bad decision.

It's the hoofing and the fact that we are playing so deep. Also, no-one supports Suarez and Carroll. Which is why we should play Maxi more often, it's shocking that Henderson's been picked over him when Maxi clearly adds more. Seriously, Maxi, Suarez and Kuyt would be great. All three of them are on the same wavelength.

We should just splash out on a centre-back for once. I want Hummels.

Join the hordes of doubters. I'll just restrain myself and hope he comes good. Even Torres has returned to some sort of form.

I think Henderson needs to be playing more central. He's much better suited to it.

Kenny's trying to turn us into a traditional English team. Take Suarez out of the the picture and we lack any form of finese. I really don't think it will work and I really don't like the thought of it.

Yeah I was it bit baffled as to why Maxi was dropped. Especially on the back of how well he played toward the end of last season. If Henderson's playing well then fine keep him in the side, but if he's been poor then drop him. At the moment we seem to have a few players in the side that seem to be untouchable on the back of how much we have paid for them in the summer.

So basically you've lost faith in Kenny after 2 defeats? Wow.
We've never ever been a traditional English team, never. Surely you're not going to criticise the way we play football under Kenny? We played a bad match today Cadbury, fair do's, we were poor, but you can't play well every week. Sunderland, Arsenal, Bolton and Stoke we've played well, Spurs we didn't and got our backsides handed to us, that's football.

I find it pretty annoying that at the start of the season we thought we had too many midfielders. We can't drop Adam because we don't have a midfielder like him to replace him with. I just tried to set out my strongest team for the rest of the season, and it's difficult. We're spoilt for choice in the striking department. But we are lacking quality in midfield and at center-back. It's a shambles.

Why couldn't Gerrard and Aquilani play in the same midfield? Lucas, Gerrard, Aquilani trio wouldn't be bad.
The fact is, Kenny chose Adam over Aquilani which was ridiculous.

Reina
Johnson ---- Skrtel --- Agger ---- Enrique
Lucas -- Gerrard
Suarez --- Maxi --- Downing
Carroll
But I don't want to drop Kuyt. And I don't like Gerrard playing there.
