I thought if you get a card in a competition the ban is exclusive to it?

No it counts in any English competition, FA Cup, League Cup and the Prem.

To think Kenny was having a go at the referee decisions last week. Wonder what he'll be like this time.

    Reina
    Kelly -- Wilson - Coates -- Aurelio
    Spearing
    Gerrard - Shelvey
    Maxi --- Carroll --- Bellamy

Also, Coates seems like a bit of a leader to me. Was constantly telling Enrique which man to look after (whether he needed the advice or not) and seeing him tell Carra to push up twice in the last ten minutes was brilliant, don't think Jamie's used to being bossed around. Maybe we've found somebody capable of taking on Carra's fabled role as defensive organiser.

Just read this, made me Laughing

Coates looked good. I'm not sure about his role in the Defoe goal, but for such a big guy he has a decent bit of pace. Also has a good head, can get in the way and can pick a pass.

I feel bad for Carroll. He wasn't the right signing, he was, infact, the complete opposite to what we needed. Ridiculous signing. I think Kenny and Comolli were set on an English striker though. He's a decent player, and I like his attitude, there's something about him. But I can't see him being a huge success anymore. It's a shame, because today he looked more fluid and more up for it than in previous weeks.

Well Kenny bought Suarez to play with Torres.. then Torres fucked off and he bought a player nothing like Torres.

    Doesn't make sense.

There's not many like Torres out there Chris, not to mention he can't just find another Torres when there was literally minutes between the window closing and buying Carroll.

If we waiting until summer to spend the money we would have had longer to do so.

Cavani, Falcao and Higuain spring to mind. Failing that, Bent or Osvaldo. We could have rebuffed our interest in Llorente too.

    Under Valero, Reina saved penalties.

On the Carroll situation, I don't think he's that of bad of a signing. Granted the fee was over the top, but all the other boxes were ticked. He was probably on half of what Torres was being paid and had a decent goal scoring record at the time we signed him. The major factor on why he has been slow in bedding in has been that injury.

His problem is similar to what Torres is had/having. He just needs to find that scoring touch to light the fire. Had that goal of stood against Sunderland I think we would've had a more confident player on the pitch.

As long as we stay above Arsenal and Spurs, we should get into the Champions League. We just got to sort out the fucking away form. Granted Stoke and Spurs away are two very difficult fixtures in their own right, but the fact that we didn't get at least a point at Stoke and didn't even look like we were playing football today, doesn't look to good for the rest of the away games.

Yep. No wonder Reina's looked poor over the last season and a bit. made a big change, getting rid of him. I'm pretty worried about Reina. I know, most of the goals he concedes are unstoppable, but it's been a long time since he made a great save. And sometimes, his efforts to stop the ball are rather half-hearted. I'm not sure if he's happy or not.

Apparently after Suarez messed up that pass from Lucas he called Lucas a "Fucking cunt" and kicked the ground. Here's hoping it's bullshit.

It's the effect he has on the team though. Like I said, it's not him. it's the team.

He played betetr today though, he never really looked like he was going to score, unless Suarez left that dissalowed goal for him.

We're lacking something. It might be Gerrard, but I'm not sure.

Of course I am. His sarcasm will be matched.

But on a serious note though, Steven Gerrard is better than Alberto Aquilani, that's not even up for debate so don't even fucking dare go there Cadbury. Laughing
