I was over the moon when we signed him. But sadly, he's not performing how he was for Newcastle, he seems to be a bit of a drinker and overall, just watching him, he doesn't seem to have the quality for Liverpool Football Club, so obviously my first impressions were way to naive.

I just don't think Carrolls happy here. He wanted to stay with Newcastle.

Umbro's are shit so yes.

He does seem to be lacking confidence after all the abuse he's had, as well as the price tag and that cunt Capello.

He loves it here. My work mate, was out a few weeks ago and seen Carroll and Adam out. Got speaking to Carroll and he said Carroll said he loves it here, the team looks really good and he's working hard to get in the team.

I mean, that's all well and good isn't it, but it IS the quality that counts at the end of the day, and I don't wanna' write him off, but he seems to be seriously lacking that quality at the moment. Could also be a confidence issue as well.

Each game he looks better, and more 'mobile'.

In the Newcastle vids, he looked skinny and bounced all over the pitch.

He doesn't look fit either. Don't forget, he was still wearing that knee tape against Arsenal.

Yeah but how is he working well when he's out getting bladdered every fucking night? Also what's with his attitude on the pitch, he moans at everything. I think he's content to stay because he knows he's got a fat cheque and is playing in a good squad. But deep down the team isn't Newcastle.

Carroll hasn't done that bad. Had a goal disallowed vs Sunderland. Very nearly scored against Arsenal with that header, superb save. Scored a thumper against Exeter. And in the last two matches, he couldn't really do much from the bench.

You just have to look at what he was like for Newcastle and what he was like against City to know that he's got it in him to be a big player for us.

Still think he'll be an important player for us this season.

Some of the comments on here today about him are a bit premature. Might want to tone it down a little.
