Stoke lost more games and got less points at home than Bolton did last season.
We beat Bolton away under Hodgson. So it's a cake-walk over there. Fact.

He never had it to begin with Dan.

You are such a geek. Using a word that is used by bad losers on a game to describe a real game of football.

Stoke only lost one more game and got one less point at home than bolton.

Ergo Bolton are tougher, they're certainly not significantly worse at home than Stoke.

Free-kick against Manchester United last season.

Promising. Creating chances but not taking them.

Now I'll admit I am rather far up his arse when it comes to talking about him, but I was recently talking to a friend of mine who is a fellow supporter. We were talking about our squad and the Stoke result. I said that once Gerrard returns, Henderson will be dropped for him.
He argued that Gerrard will no longer be able to keep up with the pace of the game and adapt to our quad. I found this a rather interesting comment and I believe that he can do the job of all our current players bar Suarez - he can defend, he can cross, he can get past his man, he can score vital goals.
I will admit that he may struggle the first couple of games but I strongly think that once he is back he will improve our squad ten-fold. It just surprises me that I think he has carried our team for such a long time and that yet some supporters seem to think he has just been a player who performs consistently well.
His understanding with Torres was unbelievable, and I think that once him and Suarez play together it will be even better.
What do you guys think? Am I being too hopeful on the fact that Gerrard will come back stronger and improve our squad/results or am I being too optimistic and Gerrard will indeed struggle?
