Just a thread to discuss the tactical side of the beautiful game. You may discuss anything related to tactics in this thread.

I don't like the orange and lime ones.

If someone can flank the left side of that mountain while my squad goes over top, we should be able to swarm them out and set up camp for the night. Archers to the ready.

A little of column A, a little of column B.

I dislike playing with 2 out and out strikers, if we're going to play 2 uptop one of them has to be able to pull the strings from an advanced position, like van Persie or Rooney.

You think Arsenal should change their formation?

442? 4411?

Or maybe a 41311

I think if Arsenal had the ability to change from a 442 to a 4231 at will between games at least, we'd be more formidable.

I would quite like to see Walcott getting another chance as a striker: his natural position. Many people seem to forget that was his preferred position. Van Persie would then play in behind him.

4231 for us is just.. so slow and defensive.

Idk what we've become. It's quite poor.

For Arsenal, a lot will depend on the signings. A prospective formation may not look so good if it involves leaving out a newly signed player.
