You got it right there, our forwards need to be more aggressive and make runs into the box more. I mean Gervimho can skin all the defenders in the world, but if there is no one in the box, what has he got to aim for?

If worse comes to worse and we don't sign anyone this has to be our starting 11

    Sz

    Sagna-Koscielny-Vermaelen-Gibbs

    Song-Wilshere

    Walcott/Arshavin-Rosicky-Gervinho

    RvP

That team can contend for 2nd place or even the title if we push it. I still feel we'll finish in the top 4 easier than we did last season. Less pressure for us this year.

    Just typical Wenger talk.

Yeah,I think we need a bit more drive from the midfield to burst into the box perhaps when Wilshere comes back we'll see him bursting forward alot aswell and perhaps Frimpong could develop that way seems a very explosive player at times,I sometimes think we could do with a proper box to box player though when its v.Persie vs 4 defenders the final balls always going to be extremely difficult Laughing

Really? You can't really rule out Liverpool though it will be very very close between them and us if we get 2 or 3 injuries we are fucked that's why we need signings it would be very lucky if we get into the top 4 with that squad.

Would rather RVP in hole, Theo up top. Then Chamberlain/Arshavin on the right.

Weren't someone on here taking about him last season and how he wanted him at Arsenal? Maybe Fonseca.

    Also:

Wenger was just interviewed post-match by Lille coach Rudi Garcia on Canal . Presenter mentioned Eden Hazard, Wenger smiled... Garcia didnt!

I think Theo would get merked upfront like that personally he needs to be upfront with van Persie.

It's a worse comes to worse situation, last year the pressure was immense around xmas times all the way throughout till the end of the Barca second leg. This year were not expected to do anything at all. It seems all our bad luck with injuries and suspensions are coming rather early this season as opposed the ending of the season. I reckon our injury problems won't be as severe as last season when it hits the second half of the season here's hoping.

Liverpool will be our main threat, but we're more than capable of brushing them aside for 4th place.

I agree. The original post is a knee jerk reaction to a very good performance, but what happens once RVP is injured? Your first 11 are excellent, but it's beyond that where I have a bit of concern for Arsenal.
