Fuck that, I've defended his transfer from people writing him off since the start of the summer.

Theo should play upfront really with van Persie but on his own he would get battered.

Re: Official Arsenal FC Thread
So happy we'll play Champions League this season
Hope we draw a team from Switzerland, Germany, Northern Italy or Eastern France so I can finally watch them again without having to fly over to London
Szczesny had a great game, amazing peno save, and good overall performance. Best young keeper in the world imo, way better than De Gea for sure, he's already a real leader and his body language and confidence are very very positive.
Nice to see us shoot from outside the box, Walcott, RVP, Song, Ramsey and Rosicky all had a go from range.
Gervinho played really well today, can't wait to see him back in the Premiership. People who thought he was a flop pretty much stand corrected now, think he'll have a good season.

Delighted with our performances in second half
And now you know why is said Szczesny is the boss And Walcott should play striker
Now to add some quality now that we've qualified

I haven't/didn't and won't write off Gervinho. As others have said, he seems to be a a very bright spark with a lot of flair. Personally, he has impressed me so far, hopefully with a bit more time he can get even better.

Easily, much more commanding more confident in his ability great shot stopper, and very quick reactions. Anyone who disagrees supports UnitedGegilworld93 wrote:So happy we'll play Champions League this season

With Gervinho I just hope Wenger doesn't try and change his style. He's different to other players in the team and that throws some defenders.

Spot on, Jamie, Fonseca and Filippo were quick to label him as a flop, has really quick feet, loves to take players on and to link up with his teammates, as I said he will have a good season.Zlatan wrote:I haven't/didn't and won't write off Gervinho. "Szczęsny, the man who told the ref at a U18 game not to bother checking his nets, as the opponents wouldn't score. Saves."

Same, he is the only player in our team that actually takes defenders on.

That is quality.
What an immense 'keeper he's turning into.

Can I ask, why is it people say Nasri moved soley for money? Sure I know the contract situation, dont get me wrong I know that played a part, but you can't say any player going to City now is doing so purely for the money, they're in a much better position to challange for trophies than Arsenal.

Re: Official Arsenal FC Thread
Gervinho's final ball has been a bit hit and miss so far but that my only really critiscm and I reckon with more support in the box it'll improve anyway. His dribbling/keeping hold of the ball a little longer are something a little different to the rest of our players and I like how he creates the space for others doing it.

Re: Official Arsenal FC Thread
Great comeback there.
Udinese had me worried due to Di Natale constantly giving us trouble but we came out the better team. Lovely setup by Gervinho would like to see more of them cutbacks. Also Walcott took his goal brilliantly, absolute lightning when he gets in behind. Szczesny is a fucking beast aswell.
Also i bet on us to win after we went 1-0 down at 7/1

Like me and Arise has said, he's a quality player who's going to be very important for us. A real shame he's missed the Liverpool match going to miss the United one as I feel he would have done something great.

The talked about how we had alot of players out tonight hinting he'd be happy with the current squad.
Just typical Wenger talk.

Nasri's right tbf, only time you can hear the Arsenal fans is when they are booing.
