Ade was superb tonight, like he had a kick up the ass and just ran riot. 4 assists and 1 goal, excellent. Don't know how Harry could just leave after tonight.

Reports coming out tonight that Eden Hazard may be joining Tottenham in the summer. A well respected French journalist broke the news, and Hazard himself dropped a 'hint' on a TV show, citing us as a great club.

Shows how far we've come in 3 years really. Don't think we had such a big pull for players like Hazard a few years ago.

3rd in the league, Champions League football, play beautiful football and have a great aray of talent, new training ground, new stadium on the way. This is a club on the rise, and hopefully more players see that rather than just going for the money offered in wages by other clubs.Point wrote:easley91 wrote:Reports coming out tonight that Eden Hazard may be joining Tottenham in the summer. Great attack force, Hazard would be wasted on the right though.LFC_Grunners wrote:Hazard - Modric - Bale

Adebayor may not be here next season, he's on very high wages at City and unless we've convinced to take a pay cut to play here again permanently, then I doubt he'll join. Hazard and Bale can switch and move around along with Modric, like we did at Norwich with the midfielders.Splashy wrote:Great attack force, Hazard would be wasted on the right though.LFC_Grunners wrote:Hazard - Modric - Bale

Re: Tottenham Hotspur Official Thread
We've signed Bruno Uvini from Sao Paolo. Loan for the rest of the season with a £3.1m deal at the end.
He can't play during the loan apparently he's just coming over to get acclimatised to England and that for a few months. I imagine he'll train with the team though.
Nice to see we're starting to bring in and develops some good youth for the future.
Uvini: "I've been in talks with Tottenham for a while, it's a great club with worldwide visibility. They asked me to come right away."
"Tottenham have this squad renewing project so they asked me to join the team so that I will be fit to make my way next season"
"I'll be there for three months during which time I'll try to adapt to English football and to the culture."

Smart move getting him in on loan like that to get him settled. If he doesn't settle by the end of the loan, he can just go back home knwoing he tried. Hopefully he does though, sounds a real good prospect and training with King (sort of), Dawson, Gallas and Kaboul can only help the lad. Sandro will make sure he doesn't get bullied with his martial arts as well.

Tom Huddlestone will undergo a second stage of surgery on Friday to further his recovery following ankle surgery at the end of last year.
The midfielder has progressed well since his initial surgery, with the specialist determining that the anticipated reconstruction of a lateral ankle ligament is the next step towards the England international making a return to full fitness.

So how much longer until he is fit and ready to play then? Feel bad for him, he was doing so well for us before he got injured.Point wrote:Tom Huddlestone will undergo a second stage of surgery on Friday to further his recovery following ankle surgery at the end of last year.

Not this season. Sounds like it was going to happen anyways with the 'second stage' part.

Talk of us being taken over by AEG, article on the daily mail about it.
Said Levy would remain as chairman and we'd get a significant boost to our transfer budget too.

If Levy stays I'm all for it, Levy is the chairman I trust to do what's right for Tottenham Hotspur FC. If it adds to the transfer budget as well, then we could well sign Hazard.

Tottenham are close to being sold in a £450million takeover, according to a report.
The story says Philip Anschutz, owner of American entertainment giants AEG and the 34th richest man in the USA with a £4.4 billion fortune, has been in talks with Spurs' current majority owner, Joe Lewis, for weeks.
A deal is not far away, continues the report, which claims Anschutz - who already owns David Beckham's Major League soccer side LA Galaxy - would keep current Spurs chairman Daniel Levy in place to run the club.
AEG owns London's O2 Arena and the MEN Arena in Manchester.

Re: Tottenham Hotspur Official Thread
Got tactics all wrong and didn't look right after they scored their second. Really can't be that open and naive at the back against United or it'll be a scoreline similar to the United - Arsenal match earlier in the season.
Think this loss can lay at Harry's feet really.
Also as someone pointed out, since the Harry for England shit started we've not looked too convincing, only 2 games but there is the worry there that Spurs players have been distracted by the constant talk. Harry don't help by saying how much he wants the job and that.
