We'll keep Modric, especially if we finish above Chelsea. He probably thinks 'thank god I stayed and didn't go!' Yes Champions League and more money, but they aren't exactly flying like we are at the moment are they?

Think we've earned the right to big ourselves up a bit no?
10 wins in 11. 6 in a row, on great form and playing great football.

Not like we're expecting to keep his up the whole season so just leave us be and let us enjoy the moment.

Exactly. But I don't see why we can't.. I know the streak will end sooner or later but if we keep up this football and do not get hit by too many injuries it will be a fantastic season

That is the only game I reckon Spurs will drop points in out of those 3 fixtures. When is that game in hand against Everton?

Don't think it's been re scheduled yet. Might be wrong though.

They're only 3 points behind you, and they're considered to be having a disastrous season, whereas you're considered to be having a fantastic one. Have you ever thought that might be why he wants to move? In any case, if they did have Modric, they'd probably be doing a lot better.easley91 wrote:We'll keep Modric, especially if we finish above Chelsea. Modric will stay.
We rejected 40m.
What will they do.. 50m for a player again? Doubt it

Can't really go wrong with Modric though, if strikers don't get goals quickly they are deemed failures its only a small minority of idiots that look at direct assists and goals for judging a midfielder.

Yeah but I don't think they would risk 50m again. What if he does not link up well with their players, what if they judge him on stats and he does not score/assist for a long time?

How long has he got left on his contract? If he wants to leave eventually then his value will go down with every year that passes.

Fairly certain it's 4/5 years eft. He signed a new one last season.

Chelsea will probably get the best out of Torres if they went for someone who can play right behind him like Sneijder rather than Modric. Better price-wise too.

But they don't have Modric and look at what's happening. He might think that Chelsea could be on the decline while we're on the up. We'll see at the end of the season in any case.ResurrectionRooney wrote:They're only 3 points behind you, and they're considered to be having a disastrous season, whereas you're considered to be having a fantastic one. Van der Vaart would suit Chelsea better than Modric to be honest.

Yeah, and if he signed for them, they would be on the up, and you would be on the decline, so there's no real reason to feel regret or pride in his decision, whatever he'd done he would have been fine.easley91 wrote:But they don't have Modric and look at what's happening. Modric is contracted to 2016 and he'll probably sign a new contract with a year extenssion on at some point.

Re: Tottenham Hotspur Official Thread
Hi guys, just seen that we have been allocated 5,000 tickets in the south stand for this game.
Just a few questions. Is it better in the upper or lower tier view and atmosphere wise?
And how likely is it to sell out what with tickets being £20 for adults and £5 for under 16's.
Must say im impressed with how cheap those tickets are as a seat qt Chelt vs Southend on saturday £21.

Doesn't matter the occasion, WHL is always a near sell out/sell out. I'm going to get tickets hopefully, but still don't know if it's the same time/day as Crawley. View wise I'd say upper tier, see the whole pitch that way, as long as nobody tall sits in front of you or stands.

Re: Tottenham Hotspur Official Thread
Actually cheaper to but a ticket to this game than Crawley's FA Cup tie. But sadly both are on Saturday 3pm, so Crawley it is. Have fun at the game though whoever is going and ced let us know how the 'weaker' Spurs side fairs.
