Err.. your not allowed to compare transfer prices on here btw. Rolling Eyes

You got a good price for Fabregas and I'm sure if you sell Nasri you'll get at least 20 million. Not the worst business ever.

Good price for Cesc yet he will no doubt go for less than Modric.

Didn't you sell Fabregas for 30 million with 10 million further in add-ons, essentially 40 million?

We're selling one of our most influential midfielders for less than what we bought Charlie Adam for.

    One word; Daft.

So you think there's £28 million difference between the two? I do not. Especially when we sold Alonso.

You've probably not seen enough of Aquilani. He is a crock who's too weak for the Premier League afterall.

Look, I'm not going to get into prices here, because prices are never a determining factor on the players ability, as it's what the club values the player at. But you said there isn't much difference in terms of quality, sorry, but that's laughable Cadbury, they're worlds apart, worlds apart. One's a world class footballer, with skills very few footballers, he's unique and has a bag full of nearly every medal you can win in world football. The other's a player with good skills, look I don't mind Aquilani, but you're making him out to be something he isn't. He's not world class and he never ever will be world class either for that matter. He's a good footballer, with a record of bad injuries, nothing more nothing less. He can't even get a game for the labouring Italian National team can he? He's had what? 12 caps? Roma didn't exactly stand in his way. Rafa didn't even play him when we bought him, Juventus didn't want him back, we don't want him now and there's hardly been any clubs interested.

Am I seriously missing something here? Along with all these other managers that don't want him and seem to rate him as highly as you do?

The only reason Milan are interested because it's a knock down price, they're taking a punt on him. And I've not seen enough of him? Fuck off, I've probably watched him more than you. Laughing I don't mind Aquilani, I'd be happy to keep him, but he's nothing more than a good footballer. There's plenty of players like Aquilani out there, difference is, these players are younger, more hungrier and more healthier, which is why they're being chased and not Aquilani, simple as that.

Better to have Aquilani on the bench than sell him for €7 mill. Who could we get for 7 mill? it's not like we need to raise funds for Cahill.

Yes, he's by no means one of our most influential midfielders. He doesn't change a game, he's not explosive like say Suarez or Gerrard he's not a game changer. He's also hardly played for us. We won't miss him.

How can you talk about caps to downgrade his ability especially when you mention injuries in the same sentence. He's only made 200 off appearances in his whole career and has been out of seasons at times. Even so Cassano only has 20 odd caps, is he not great/world class then? No one really knows why Rafa didn't play him, but you don't pay a huge sum of money not expecting him to be involved in the team. Juventus didn't want to pay much because they had a pre agreement to sign Pirlo... they still wanted him but he wasn't much of a loss

Milan have been bidding for Montolivo also, again that doesn't mean he's "decent" it means that they're interested in a better player

The fact is, he can change a game. He was brought on against Valerenga and changed it instantly. And you can't say that his performances didn't reflect the stats. He was great. It's not all about pre-season though. When he played under Rafa, he was brilliant. He was a key player for Juventus last season and can easily be one for us.

With Cadbury on this (slightly). Aquilani is better than people are suggesting. There isn't a £28m different between him and Alonso.

And I'd like to point out, nobody was willing to spend £14m or whatever on Alonso the year before we sold him. Year down the line we got double that and more. Saying nobody wants him is a cop out, there's plenty of interest, nobody has agreed a deal.
