By this I didn't mean they won't leave, I just mean I could imagine Arshavin, Fabregas, Nasri, Clichy and others in other shirts. I just can't with them, for reasons like they actually clarify their future, and I bought the Sagna shirt 4 times now, so I would be pissed if he left.

Fabregas staying would be a complete joke. In this day in age when players wages and fees are going up, losing a player of his caliber for nothing would be club suicide for various reasons. Losing him already sends shockwaves that we can't keep our top players, but losing him on a free would be disastrous for the club on so many levels when it comes to signing top players.

Secondly, he is NEVER going to renew his deal so it would be foolish to hold onto him with his value decreasing each year to the point where it clubs would just wait until he was free. If he stayed until the end he would only be 27 which is when central midfielders come into their true prime so he would be walking away and we would be left looking silly. It is a lot smarter to sell him now while he actually has value because with his recent hamstring and injury issues that isn't going to make his value increase any. People need to realize football is a business first and foremost.

Wenger said he would rather keep Fabregas and let him leave for free, but he wanted to sell Vieira and Henry, both of whom are and will always be a hell of a lot more meaningful to the club than Fabregas. Selling Fabregas would not be the end of Arsenal. We would take a knock from it, but if Wenger reinforces the squad with the vast fortune we have available (despite what he says), we could easily continue without missing a beat and actually be a lot better.

I could go on and on with reasons why selling him is more beneficial to the club than keeping him, but there is no need since most people here are lovestruck over him and want him to stay so bad.

Well RVP seems very loyal yes but Walcott is a Liverpool fan, Jack has played one season and Sagna has never been poached by another big club.

Just said above that I never meant they wouldn't leave, I just cant picture it. And teams have been interested in Sagna, but he always says he wants to stay. And do you think he would move to Liverpool?

Many other clubs have inquired about Bakary, but he always says he loves the club. I can one day see him leaving, but it won't be because he asked to leave. After his first season with Arsenal there were no less than 3 teams in Italy alone that wanted him.

Thanks for that, Juventus have been long time followers. And especially as RB isn't the best position, he is bound to attract interest.

I suppose you were in the respective board rooms when they were discussing it aswell.

We need to keep players of Cesc's calibre of course, he's our best player, truly world class, but his situation is a strange one, his home town club, his life long love, is now the best club in the world and they want him bad.

Would you say no in his position?

We're fighting a losing battle, if he stays I'll be very happy and he'll play well in the next season, very well, he's a professional after all, if he goes for the right money, we can reinvest it in other players and loss a very heavy burden off our shoulders.

Either way we can survive, although I'd rather him staying by far, gives us our best chance of winning something.

As for Nasri, we need to sell him to City for 30 million, unless Wenger can get him to renew which is very unlikely.

I'm being serious here, I think the only reason we got Bartley is because he scored that own goal in a friendly. I've not seen it but I was told it wasn't really his fault. Wenger was talking about him getting a chance in the first team etc. If true it's pretty shit, Not that I'm complaining though.
