Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
I thought the tackle by Keane was deliberate from what I read in his book, but even if it was, I can't really blame him for it. Haaland had took him out previously and told him to get up straight away. Haaland simply got some of his own medicine and felt what it was like to be on the receiving end of a crunching tackle.

so the only reason i see for your is sig is that you enjoy watching people in pain.
For once we agree, although there's no reason Nani should accept his apology. Carragher did a very evil thing, and coming to him and apologising afterwards, it doesn't really cut it. If someone tried to wreck your livelihood, then walked up to you 90 minutes later and went 'hey erm sorry about that, yerknow it's all part of the game' I don't think you'd be in a very forgiving mood.
Can you prove that there was malicious intent in that tackle?
No, but it is what I believe. It was a vicious tackle which just so happened to be against the man who most Liverpool fans hate and vilify. Jamie Carragher is an experienced defender, he has been playing football for nearly 20 years there's no way, in my view, he would do something like that without meaning to.
ResurrectionRooney wrote:Mc Babel wrote:So the reason Roy Keanes book reads "this was it, hit him hard, have that you cunt and don't stand over me sneering about fake injuries again." Is because he wanted the ball.
It doesn't say that
"I'd waited long enough. I fucking hit him hard. The ball was there (I think). Take that you cunt," he recalled in his autobiography in 2002. "And don't ever stand over me again sneering about fake injuries. And tell your pal [David] Wetherall there's some for him as well. I didn't wait for Mr Elleray to show the red card. I turned and walked to the dressing room."

Disgraceful behaviour and attitude, I would expect better from a captain.
I don't agree with tackling like that, but it's important to get across what was actually said, rather than the lies that the media propagate about him.

Can it be proved that Roy Keane set out to hurt the opponent?
No, but it is what I believe. It was a vicious tackle which just so happened to be against the man who Roy Keane was angry with at the time. Roy Keane was an experienced midfielder, he had been playing football for nearly 15 years there's no way, in my view, he would do something like that without meaning to.

Are you sure you got that correct, i cant remember Haaland taking out Keane. And the one when Haaland was playing for Leeds, Keane actually got his studs caught on the pitch after trying to bring Haaland down and ended up injuring himself, and was out for a long time. Keane actually got booked for trying to foul Haaland in that incident.

And when I have a picture of Haaland being injured and stretchered off in my signature you'll have a legitimate grievance.

I don't care if he wasn't stretchered off, still doesn't make the tackle any less disgraceful.

Now, remove 'former leader of Germany' and put in 'Jamie Carragher tackling Nani'.
There we go.

There is a difference between an extremely famous leader and a thug enacting brutality. If he'd had Hitler shooting someone or the holocaust happening I would have demanded he remove his pictures as well.

Don't agree. Please take your delusions elsewhere. There is no thug acting brutality in the picture, it is just a mis-timed tackle. If that offends you then that's your problem.

I was going to remove them but your own opinion has convinced me that they must be ok and any offence taken must be your problem to deal with thanks for the reassurance

So now you have just shown you are not as smart as you signature says, yes carragher's tackle was a bad one and i dont like to see it, but ive also seen worse tackles through the years of watching football. But you are trying to tell me that people should be allowed to put Hitler in their signature but not that tackle, please you have just lost the plot, how many people has Carragher killed.
So maybe we should demand the removal of your signature, because its complete lies and bullshit after that comment and you know it.

We can't be sure that Carragher has killed anyone, and if you just had a picture of Jamie Carragher's head, I wouldn't have a problem with it. If you had a picture of Hitler carrying out an atrocity that would be a disgrace, the same as it is with Carragher. I thought baiting was against the rules on this forum anyway.

When exactly did Haaland 'take him out previously'? If you're gonna try copy RRs posting style at least try make sure you get the basic facts right.
