Result flatters the performance. Although I said all along we wouldn't win (wasn't quite expecting it to be that bad after 20 minutes.)

Was simply not good enough in the slightest. Poor defensively (hell, poor is an understatement) and 10 men didn't help.

Am just glad Werder and Twente drew, as it means the loss wasn't overly bad. Onto Everton at the weekend, just hope the extra effort we had to put in hasn't fucked us over for that game, as it's just as important as the one we just played.

How I'd love Gareth here, what a talent, such a strong runner on the ball, ripped Inter to pieces, amazing finishes as well, stunning.

You lot showed heart in the second half, hopefully you do them at White Hart Lane, VDV will be back as well?

    Yeah he should be.

Will be a big boost to have him back in the squad.

One thing that shocks me a lot, even before he was at Spurs, but how poor Crouch is in the air considering his height, if he was actually good in the air, at jumping and fighting for a ball he'd be unstoppable, like Chamakh, but he's 6 foot 7. Laughing

I remember a chance in the 1st half when it was 3-0. Was basically a free header right infront of the goal and he proper fucked it up. Ridiculous considering his height that he's not particularly good in the air Laughing

Yeah, Jenas went mad, I haven't caught the full 90 minutes because I was obviously watching United, I saw the highlights though..

    Where were Ledley and Dawson?

And I heard Jenas played well?

Dawson's till out after his knee injury for England. King's injured too, limped off in our last match.

Jenas was alright. None of the team really performed overly well though.

Don't know how I forgot about the Dawson injury.

You really miss them two, reckon you'll do Everton on the weekend, should be a good game, looking forward to it. Smile

What will your likely XI be for the home game against Inter ?
Will Modric be able to play or King?

Why wouldn't Modric be able to play?

King, no idea. Depends on if he's fit or not.

He was playing, but after Gomes got sent off he came off because Harry had to sacrifice someone.

I really hope that Spurs can get together a fully fit side to face Inter when they come to White Hart Lane.

Bringing Van Der Vaart, Defoe, Dawson, King and Corluka into the squad would make things a lot more interesting....although you still won't have Gomes (btw how many matches is his ban for?)

Bale won't have the element of surprise this time though....although even with hindsight it's hard to stop him.

Im an Arsenal fan but I have to say Bale did English football proud today (yesterday whatever). Hoping for a draw for Spurs against Inter at WHL. Dont want them to win though then they will rub it in my face at school:(.

I think Gomes is banned for 3 European matches.

They could bump it up depending on how bad it was, but there was nothing malicious or dangerous about the foul so I doubt that'll happen.

I feel like we're at a good place in both our tables right now. While it could be better, things have worked themselves out and will continue to do so. Hopefully we can go on and finish the group stage well and do well in the league.

I'm really pissed that we play an early kick off tomorrow after playing Wednesday night. Yet other favoured clubs get to play on Sunday. What a joke.

Luckily we're at home. Modric is pretty much fresh, as is VDV. Hopefully Kaboul passes fit though in defence.

Tough game. Everton will be on a high after beating Liverpool, and much the fresher team. But we're at home.

Bale is king. We better not sell him or I wont be happy. At least now we're in the top 4 and we have some incentive for him to stay, unlike Berba and Carrick.

I sadly am not able to watch the game today, going to Brighton to celebrate my dad's birthday, so I shall be recording it on Sky+ and watching it as if it were live when I get home.
2-0 I reckon with VDV getting one or at least assisting.

Disappointing to be honest. I expected Pav to come in at halftime and Crouch going out. Moving VdV out wide made him go missing and I think all we can hope for for Crouch is maybe one lucky long ball assist per game. Once he got that I didn't expect much from him and he played like shit tbh. Pav should have come in earlier and had VdV supporting him and that should have been a game won.
