Delighted with the win and hope we can get more. VDV was quite good, now I'm pumped for the midweek game against the arse!

Hey all. I won't post as often as I did in the EA thread but I'll try to come around here and there.

Re: Tottenham Hotspur Official Thread
I'm pumped for the Tuesday game as well and it has nothing to do with me, I just love football hopefully it'll be a game that's easy on the eye.
If you go with strength, I think you can win, depending on what Arsenal come out with, because Fabregas and Van Persie are injured already, so is Bendtner, so I don't expect Chamakh will play, meaning it'll be someone like Vela or Jay Emmanuel Thomas up top.
I know you're in the Champions League now, but I think you should take this competition seriously as usual.

I'm a bit worried about our defence for tomorrow. Kaboul came off injured, Gallas was struggling and King is unlikely to play so soon after his last game. Leaving us with Bassong and maybe young Caulker as our possible centre backs.
I'm really looking forward to seeing Sandro though. It will be an exciting night aswell, as it always is with Cup nights at the Lane.

I'm not TBH I reckon we'll get through, Sandro/Hudders could play CB and isn't Corluka fit?
But yeah tomorrows going to be great, time to beat the scum

I never want to see Corluka at centre back again. I dont mind Huddlestone at the back, but I wouldn't want Sandro to play at the back on his debut. We should be alright for next weekend, its just this game we might really have to use our squad.
Still win though

Livermore showed great promise in the opening minutes of the match and I thought he would have kept it up for a little longer.

yeah he was allright. allthough i think Sandro done quality for his debut. some key interceptions and tackles. Really got stuck in! sometimes a bit too rough though!
was a pretty good derby but in Extra time we fell apart. then again... Keanes goal was offside so i guess Karma caught up with us

Re: Tottenham Hotspur Official Thread
I was really surprised by Harry's team selection. He had too many green players together. I thought he would've started with Keane, Kranjcar, Hutton and one of Jenas or Huddlestone. Just to add more experience. He probably wasn't expecting as strong an Arsenal team.
Sandro looks quality though. He struggled early on but grew into the game. He showed great energy and determination, with the strength to handle the physical side of the game aswell. I think he's going to seriously push Palacios and Jenas as the engine in midfield.
I think it's safe to say our reserves aren't as good as Arsenals, but the first team is certainly closing the gap now. I think Gomes is back for the weekend which will be a huge advantage. Add Kaboul, King and Gallas to defence and we should cut the silly mistakes out.
It's all about how we respond now. COYS

Re: Tottenham Hotspur Official Thread
Hard to tell really. It was a funny game. For all the possession Arsenal had, they hardly tested the keeper in the 90 mins. He couldn't do anything about any of the goals. He made a couple of routine saves. But did look dodgy on one cross from a free kick crossed into the box. He flapped at it and luckily Sandro rescued a possible goal for Arsenal.

Hahahah I found that hilarious.
Every time I see 'Arry he looks like he got smashed the night before. Sun burnt face and regular twitches.
Not trying to start trouble here, just saying he's a character.

Re: Tottenham Hotspur Official Thread
What do you expect Arry will put out vs West Ham?
I'm going for
Cant see Ekotto playing LB considering he played the full arsenal game and got injured.
Modric cutting in. Then Bale playing as a LWB
Would love to See Sandro start playing for us soon though!
I'm going for
Gomes
Hutton Gallas Kaboul Bale
Lennon Huddlestone Jenas Modric
Van Der Vaart
Crouch

I want Jenas outta there. Sandro would do fine or moving Bale up, Modric middle, and slotting in Ekotto (not sure of his status).
Btw what's happened to Corluka?

Re: Tottenham Hotspur Official Thread
I would play King. League is the most important thing for us, and I think he'll still be able to recover in time for Weds anyway (as opposed to having to recover for a Tuesday fixture).
Other than that, the team looks good. If Kaboul is fit I would play him at right back though in place of Hutton. Leaving Gallas and King at centre back.

I'm sure Arry is going to give Hutton a shot! he deserves to be given a chance. he come on vs Wolves and changed the game. I really like Kaboul too but rather have him CB and save King for CL. Afterall it is only West Ham right?
The West Ham that will probably go and beat us now despite how bad they have started this season
