Re: Major League Soccer (MLS) Thread
I had enough of our team so far, turned off the game at halftime. Our success in the Emirates Cup was due to the fact that Balouchy wasn't there,I don't understand what Backe sees in him.

I like the incoming MLS replacements that Klinsmann has been calling up, just wish he choose Brad Davis over Rogers. He gets no love on the National team

American manager Bob Bradley will arrive in Cairo this week to begin talks over the vacant Egypt job, according to former USA goalkeeping coach Zaki Abdul-Fattah.
Bradley has been shortlisted by the Egyptian FA as one of three candidates to take the hot seat, following the departure of Hassan Shehata in June.
Abdul-Fattah, an Egyptian who worked with Bradley for five years as the US team goalkeeping coach, revealed that the 53-year-old is very interested in the Pharaohs job.
“I will accompany Bradley to Cairo on Tuesday to talk to officials from the Egyptian FA,” the former Ghazl Mahalla keeper said.
“He is very excited with the prospect of managing the Egypt national team and was happy when the FA approached him.”
Bradley guided USA to the 2010 World Cup round of 16 as well as the final of the FIFA Confederations Cup a year earlier.
He was in charge of the US team when they thrashed Egypt 3-0 in South Africa.
Oh God, this might actually happen. I want an Egyptian coach!!

Can you see my pain?
I'm not your enemy,
We can be friends, you and me,
I'll cure your longing,
World Cup qualification can be yours,
Just give me a chance."

MLS & NBC Sports have agreed on a 3-year deal, starting in 2012. NBC will have 45 MLS games & four US national team games.
Fox out, NBC/VS in.

Re: Major League Soccer (MLS) Thread
Hopefully MLS is smart enough to try to negotiate with FSC and have games on 3 different national TV stations, not counting the spanish channels. Thursday ESPN, Friday FSC, and Saturday or Sunday will be NBC/VS. That would be an ideal lineup of mathes.

FSC is DONE SON. The 45 games NBC(sports) shows are Fox's allocation of MLS games.

Well now FSC as nothing to offer me during the summer. Wonder who joins the Broadcasting crew for NBC. Anyone besides Kyle Martino, JP isn't to bad.

Re: Major League Soccer (MLS) Thread
I'm not even sure if those two will be kept on, not sure if their contract is with NBC or MLS...
NBC has access to people who know their shit though so it would be interesting to see who they bring in. Also, I am hoping they up the production value on MLS games cause it's greatly needed, Soccer night in America was ehhh.

Yea, ESPN is a little better but it needs a upgrade. I feel like it has been the same sine the World Cup in 2006. Also make the games on Saturday and don't have them on at 11 at night, I feel like that effects the viewership since nobody on the East Coast really watches the games so late.

Fox is the devil.
Soooooooooooo what squad are you guys hoping to see today? and what do you expect.
I want to compare and contrast. Mexico is missing both their best strikers so, that's good news for the US I guess.

Re: Major League Soccer (MLS) Thread
I don't even know what I want to see because this is a weird mix of players we have. Starting I guess we go with the regular guys.
But eventually I want to see something like (possibly 2nd half)
Howard
Loyd/Castilo -- Bocangrea -- Ream -- Cherundolo
Bradley -- Jones
Donovan ---- Adu
Agudelo
Buddle
(If JK goes 4-4-2, which I doubt)Loyd/Castilo -- Bocangrea -- Ream -- Cherundolo
Bradley -- Jones
Donovan ---- Adu
Agudelo
Buddle
But eventually I want to see something like (possibly 2nd half)
Howard
Loyd -- Bocanegra -- Ream -- Dolo
Jones -- Torres
Shea -- Adu -- Donovan
Agudelo

Re: Major League Soccer (MLS) Thread
Egypt-bound manager Bob Bradley is confident he can guide the African champions to the 2014 World Cup if he landed the vacant job.
The 53-year-old American spoke with FA chairman Samir Zaher over the possibility of leading the Egypt national team as he seems very interested to succeed Hassan Shehata.
“I met with president Zaher and I offered my plan to guide Egypt to the 2014 World Cup,” Bradley, who was sacked as USA coach last month, told FilGoal.com.
“I’ve been following the Egypt team for a while and I know a lot about Egyptian football.”
Bradley was present at Ahli’s training on Wednesday as the Egyptian champions gear up for their Champions League clash with MC Alger at the weekend.
He is considered the closest of three candidates to land the Egypt job, with Colombian Francisco Maturana and Serbian Zoran Filipovic in pursuit.

For reals? Be a tough finish for NY I think. Good race though, 6 games left and only 4pts off of 1st place.

Didn't know about Veljko, though i have never heard of him. Nothing is wrong with that since I never heard of a lot of the stars on this league before the came here. Freddy Adu isn't really a goal scorer, I see him as more of a creative force then your top goal scorer.

Veljko Paunavic, new signing, 2 goals since he's been with us, he scored alot of goals in the 2nd spanish divison earlier in his career.
