Yes or No.
Put yourself into Suarez's position. It's the last minute of a World Cup game, an opposition player has shot the ball towards you and the only way you can keep it out, and thus prevent your team from being knocked out of the competition, is to handle it off the line.
Would you have let the ball go in, or would you have stopped it with your hands?

I would have tried my best to stop it without the use of my hands.

Re: Yes or No.
No idea. Never been in the situation. I'm fairly sure the first thought would be to try to reach it with my legs or head, thus probably letting in the goal, but I can't say for sure.

Re: Yes or No.
Probably yes.
But as Rooney said, if you use that logic, than no one should hate on a player for diving, the main point of diving/faking injury is to give an advantage to your team.

For once I agree with his logic. Don't shoot me

Re: Yes or No.
No, because I hate cheating. I would rather lose fairly than win by cheating. If you would then you have no business criticising any player for diving, denying another team qualification using foul means is the worst form of cheating you can commit.

Re: Yes or No.
I think what he did was just a rush of blood reaction. But it is still cheating.

IIRC he had the opportunity to head the ball? not sure.

Re: Yes or No.
I honestly thought Suarez was a massive cunt when he did this, but mainly because I wanted Ghana to win.
I can't personally say yes or no, don't know if I'd have the reflexes to try, but I can fully understand his reasoning to do it.

No, I am just morally better than you.

Re: Yes or No.
People forget that by handling the ball on the line, you get sent off, miss the next match and concede a penalty. It's not like you get away with it 100 percent.

I seem to remember that as well. He certainly didn't dive across, he handballed it virtually right in front of his face which sort of begs the question why he didn't header it.Kuled wrote:IIRC he had the opportunity to head the ball? not sure.

What is your opinion on Nani's constant dives and methods of cheating then?

Re: Yes or No.
I don't think people have thought about this properly. Put yourself in his situation, all that pressure in the World Cup and you have a chance to win the match for your team with a single "bad act". I would of done it 100%, both hands if I had to.

Re: Yes or No.
I bet some Liverpool fans changed their tune from when this happened. I'm sure some didn't change their tune, but I'm just saying I bet some did.
