Exactly my thoughts. Squillaci had it kind of covered, but Almunia comes out, he and Squillaci are in no-mans land and Odwemengie scores a tap-in.

It's basic goalkeeping you only come out if you know you're going to get it. And he already had two defenders (Only one near it) to cover it anyway

Yep. Arsenal need to sort out their defence...

He might just be the worth senior goalkeeper I'll witness in Arsenal history

Re: Alumnia yesterday!
Squillaci was the culprit.
He just ran across Almunia, cutting him off. Then Squillaci didn't bother to put in a challenge and just ball watched. Almunia should of ran for the ball, that was the right thing. Then Squillaci run behind Almunia to put in a challenge.

If Squillaci wasn't there Odemwingie would have had a free run at the ball and taken it.
It's ridiculous to blame him, he was in the right place for a defender to be and Almunia ran out and ran into him.

Really?
It was all on Almunia. He come storming out of his box, he left his goal wide open and fucked up and he cost us the goal

Almunia did everything wrong, he shouldn't have come at all, he didn't have a 100% chance of getting the ball and should not have come out .

Re: Alumnia yesterday!
Ah, I hadn't seen it since yesterday. Yes, Almunia came out far too early, and to far out than I remember. Yes it was his fault 70%, but Squill did get in Almunia's way

Anyone else think Arsenal could've gotten a better backup than Lehmann?

I hope Lehman plays TBH. Screw confidence of Almunia. He'll msot likely be off back to Vigo in the summer.

He hasn't played for about a year, and i thought he made his fair share of cock ups during his later years at Arsenal.

Considering that Arsenal can only sign free transfers because the transfer window is closed, my answer would be..
No.

Almunia RAN 20 yards out? Its literally same as a defender going 'Right im going attacking mid fuck this'crump wrote:Squillaci was the culprit.

Re: Alumnia yesterday!
If Arsenal had a half-way decent central defense and a half-way decent group of keepers, they'd already have some hardware this season and they'd probably be comfortably at the top of the table. But Wenger refuses to admit they have a massive problem, let alone address the problem in any meaningful way.

Re: Alumnia yesterday!
Alumnias fault, if he stayed in his goal i doubt Odemwingie would of even got a shot in with the other defenders to help Squillaci. Awful decision
