It's basic goalkeeping you only come out if you know you're going to get it. And he already had two defenders (Only one near it) to cover it anyway

He just ran across Almunia, cutting him off. Then Squillaci didn't bother to put in a challenge and just ball watched. Almunia should of ran for the ball, that was the right thing. Then Squillaci run behind Almunia to put in a challenge.

If Squillaci wasn't there Odemwingie would have had a free run at the ball and taken it.
It's ridiculous to blame him, he was in the right place for a defender to be and Almunia ran out and ran into him.

Almunia did everything wrong, he shouldn't have come at all, he didn't have a 100% chance of getting the ball and should not have come out

Ah, I hadn't seen it since yesterday. Yes, Almunia came out far too early, and to far out than I remember. Yes it was his fault 70%, but Squill did get in Almunia's way

If Arsenal had a half-way decent central defense and a half-way decent group of keepers, they'd already have some hardware this season and they'd probably be comfortably at the top of the table.
