Reminds of those Soccer AM Yorkie ads where the girls never get the questions right. The one time one does, they say, "Oooh, I'm sorry. Just offside."

As I keep saying, getting better with every game. Unlucky with the offside today, but that was a flash of the old Torres.
Birmingham at Stamford Bridge, anyone?

Lol what? He came on for the last ten minutes against a West Brom side that were already resigned to defeat.

Didn't realise there was a special condition to this competition. Do teams have to be playing well for his goal to count?Scott wrote:luke. wrote:As I keep saying, getting better with every game. Unlucky with the offside today, but that was a flash of the old Torres.

Shows what kind of signing it's been so far, 50 million and you're arguing that he put a ball in the net when it didn't count.luke. wrote:Yeah, but he still put the ball in the net

Shhhhhh.
Hopefully he scores a last minute winner vs West Ham to relegate them.

No they have to be onside.
I wasn't even talking about him scoring, I was referring to luke saying he's getting better with every game, even though anyone could've looked good against a West Brom side resigned to defeat in the last 10 minutes of the game.
His 45 minutes against Man United is a more accurate base to judge him from.

People use the 50m price tag against him as if the price paid for him will automatically make him play better

Feel sorry for him now. Must be fucking horrible to go so long without scoring, even more so at your new club.

He's been through it before though, at Atleti he went a while without scoring, although he was still pretty young.
All strikers do it, Odemwingie went through it, as he said. Also.. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2011/apr/16/the-secret-footballer-fernando-torres

If you buy a player for 50 million expectations are always higher.. because usually you pay more money for better players, when you spend 50 million on a player you expect them to do their job, it's like Berbatov he cost 30 million we always expected more.
All in all it's not Torres' fault he cost 50 million but it's always going to be an issue.

It doesn't matter. He's made 11 appearances, and been here for 3 and a half months, there's still 5 and a bit more years on his contract.

I like how everyone is using Kenny's theories. He said that about Carroll, and now everyone is using it.

Thats what I mean, if anything I guess blame the club for paying that kind of money, but it's not like Torres negotiated the deal

I said something like that before Kenny said anything. So shut it.
