Barcelona are much more solid and organised as a unit compared to Arsenal. Arsenal are always rotating players because of injurys etc as they do play in a much stronger and physical league.

Speaking of which im not sure Messi will be as good if he played for Arsenal because of all the phsicallness (is that even a word lol) and playing alongside inferior players as apposed to Barcelona.

Messi has no problem with physical play. He's stronger than pretty much any player around.

The refs here allow physical play more than in LaLiga. Defenders will identify Messi as a threat and some would attempt to get him injured sadly.

You obviously don't watch La Liga so I'll just point out that Messi(and Ronaldo for that matter) get hacked to pieces game after game. First you have to get near Messi which is tough in itself, secondly if you do he'll outmuscle any defender around anyway.

If they kick him they'll get booked and sent off, simple as that.

They're quite similar in terms on tactics, they both play the same style but Barca are better simply because of the individuals they have, they're team is full of world class superstars and they have the best player on the planet.

He can handle it.

As for the 2nd part, that's ridiculous. He has great balance no doubt but it takes more than balance to outmuscle players like this for example:

In that 2nd one, look at the guy, he isn't well built.

I didn't say he had no strength, I said he isn't very strong. Put him next to someone like Gerrard and see if he pushes them off the ball.

Most players stop even trying to run and just throw their hands up and ask for a foul there, Messi does not need to be cut, this isnt basketball of the NFL, he has balance, can take hits, and rarely goes down, that's surely enough.

My point is Messi is strong enough to hold off any player in world football. It's like Ronaldinho, people assumed he was just some weak flair player then propa english lionheart John Terry tries to push him off the ball and gets knocked flying

I disagree, if Gerrard and Messi went shoulder to shoulder it would be Messi that would win due to his pace and balance. If Gerrard went to push him off the ball Messi would lose the ball.

Messi proves balance is more important for his game. Being a defender though i'd say shoulder barging is more important



Shagger - Do you think Arsenal would be more succesful with Messi in their team. By that I mean trophy wise.

Also, do you think Barcelona will of been as succesful with Messi in their team and someone like Walcott in their team instead.
