Re: Man United vs Man City - Match Thread.
In my dream the game was 3-3 and United scored the last goal to equalize.

Re: Man United vs Man City - Match Thread.
Wouldn't be surprised if we went 3 in midfield, with Carrick in there as well. We'll miss Fletcher big time, good to have Park back though.moscowmadeit3 wrote:Keanoo wrote:moscowmadeit3 wrote:Rio out still, no surprise. Evans now out, Smalling would have started.
Hernandez not back yet from Mexico and wont play.
Fletcher a major doubt after going over on his ankle in training.
No Rio, Hernandez and Fletcher, were fucked.
Always knew Rio would be out, cam as no surprise. Anderson and Scholes in the middle, hope they can pull it off.

Re: Man United vs Man City - Match Thread.
Anderson and Scholes in the middle = major fail I reckon.
I think Fletcher is the biggest miss from our midfield because no one really does the job like him. Carrick? Bottler who doesn't tackle people.
Anderson is fast and strong but he can't do Fletchers job imo.. he gets forward a lot.. and with Scholes being pretty slow we wont have much cover when players like Silva are running at us, also if Anderson and Scholes are our CM's, neither of them are good tacklers really.
No Hernandez isn't that big, wouldn't have started anyway, but he would have been good to come off, but Owen will have to do that.
No Rio, going to be a massive loss, not just for how good he is, but he keeps everyone on their toes, he will be a HUGE loss, Smalling is good but can't step in for Rio well enough yet imo.
Fuck even though I'm negative I feel extra negative now.

Rio is the main loss imo. I feel a lot more confident that we could score if we're facing Evans, Smalling or whoever rather than Rio.
Saying that, we probably would have to leave our half to score

Let's play Owen Hargreaves with a dodgy knee and hamstring
Our midfield is looking fucked in all seriousness

It's a really big game to start a youngster in like that, pretty risky. We did it against Arsenal and ended up with 10 men after 5 minutes.

Yeah, I thin we'll get done, at best draw, Fletcher and Rio will be massive losses to us.Zzonked wrote:It's a really big game to start a youngster in like that, pretty risky. We did it against Arsenal and ended up with 10 men after 5 minutes.

Think Smalling will do okay tbh, Rio is a massive loss. Don't give one what anyone says about him, he's still a brilliant defender, and his partnership with Vidic is ridiculously solid.

I wonder what approach Man City will take to this game. Sit back with a 8-1-1 formation because they're to scared to compete like they did against Arsenal; or go all out because of derby day.

Nice poll it is almost a four way tie.
Since this is the super early game why is it not on ESPN2?

We really wont win, we've only one once at OT in about 40 years
Plus you've barely dropped any points at home. We have a chance, yeah, but I just can't really see us winning.

Hopefully City win to keep things tight at the top.
Think it'll be a boring 0-0 draw though
