And in the bizare, unlikely scenario he does want to leave, it won't happen this January anyway, no way will we let him leave so it doesn't matter. And then hopefully if we play well for the next 6 months and sign a few more players in the summer, he'll change is mind. IF it is true, then we need to fuckin' stamp our authority and have a firm word with the lad and let him know the score.

United did it with Rooney when he wanted to leave and City did it with Tevez when he wanted to leave.

Apparently the buy out clause of 50M is in Torres' contract. Purslow added it when Torres' deal was renewed.

I would rather just have a statement saying 'Hes not for sale at all'

Thing is we'd probably pay 60 million so you're losing out either way. Apart from the fact that you're 60 million up.
