I know that, but this season he's been brilliant. Scored goals for fun (sometimes.. ) and worked really hard.

Imagine Berbatov's ability mixed with Rooneys speed / effort

Thing is this season, even when he went on a run of not scoring.. he actually played really well.

One game that I remember is Rangers away, not his performance but he was tracking back so much, nothing like I've seen before with Berbatov.

Yeah, this is what I mean.. he was so lazy before that now he runs a bit more and works harder, people will see and think wow Berbatov working really hard because they're not used to it.

he's not stupid though. he probably knew if things didnt improve for him he'd be off. there was at least 2 clubs showing an interest for him last summer. I've always rated him but I take my hat off to him for his work rate this season so far.

Ok, maybe not really hard, but he's certainly put some shifts in this season, and he's reaping the rewards of it.
