He won't be a squad member, and he wouldn't ever get into my ideal first 11.

Of course he will. He offers something different to Torres/Ngog. Just having flair and pace in the squad isn't enough.

Tbh, Kuyt has scored or created some crucial goals for us over the years. But, hes not cut out to be a winger, his touch is appalling and he cannot beat a man for shite.

The french journo has just back tracked on twitter by saying
dan_bu Sorry, but I have no news on Elia. Latest was general manager Reinhardt denying an offer from LFC this afternoon.
Twitter - 13 minutes ago
Despite reporting on a radio station that the deal has been completed earlier today.

I'm saying I don't think he'll stick around to be a squad member. He's getting on and I think he could still do a good job in a different league.

Looks like we have missed out on Ricky van Wolfswinkel. Napoli are close to agreeing a fee. Shame because he would have been a decent signing for us.

Meh, another developing player who would have a lot of pressure to perform straight away.

Dani Pacheco's birthday in 2 days. He'll be 20. His next year will be really important if he wants to live up to his expectations, but I suppose with the arrival of Elia, he's been pushed further down the pecking order when it comes to attackers.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
“Being honest about it, I am hoping that one day I will get a chance to stamp a little more of my authority and philosophy on the team by choosing some more of the players,” Hodgson said.
“It is not often mentioned, but I have not been that active in the transfer market since I have been here.
“The players who are playing are the ones you have watched playing for the past few years. They have done exceptionally well for me in accepting a new manager, with a new style and a new training method, and giving the performances they have given, albeit that unfortunately we have been guilty of inconsistency.”
Err how about FUCK OFF.

He's more of a center-forward, makes chances instead of putting them away.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Not necessarily in the U19's for Spain he scored 4 goals in the Euro comp which made him top scorer and winner of golden boot, hes both a goalscorer and a playmaker I'd say.
