Would prefer both of them playing together tbh. But yeah, if there is a such a thing as a fortuitous injury, then Raul's was it.

If we can get him cheap then I would take him. We could set our sights higher though..

At the moment every game is tough. We need todig in like we did today, keep Gerrard and Torres sharp and hopefully that goal is going to give Cole a big lift. If they can all click together we may just be ready to steady ourselves.Scouser_Dave wrote:Tough game next though. Blackburn away.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
First half wasn't too impressive, second half was all Liverpool. Torres' goal was fantastic, a brilliant assist by Gerrard and the build up by N'Gog was good. We needed that goal. Once we scored, we really got going.
Really thought it would end up being a 1-1 draw but it's about time a slice of luck went OUR way. Joe Cole Hate to say it but, to the doubters, I told you so. (You will now go on about how it was lucky, but IMO it was being in the right place at the right time. It wasn't offside either as it came off the defender, not Maxi)
Gerrard was great, Torres had a poor first half but a lively second. As soon as he scored, you could tell his confidence shot up. His reaction to the goal certainly didn't imply that he doesn't care about Liverpool any more and is looking for a way out. The Gerrard and Torres fallout rumours can be quashed too, as they hugged and celebrated together, all smiles.
Agger made a big difference in the way we played from the back. We hardly hoofed it.
Where's Nightmare now? Fool.

'I told you so'?
I didn't see him get past anyone with the ball.
Let's see him do more than score a goal my Nan could have put away before you start acting cocky.

You'll see. Cole will prove you all wrong. And you'll all feel like knobs for doubting him. When he starts scoring and assisting, you'll all be waxing lyrical about it, even though you all doubted him.

I still believe Cole will come good, he needs something which he got today, a goal and confidence, he could be a real asset to us and alongside Gerrard he could create and score some crucial goals for us.

I never said he was shit, just your justification for "I told you so" was extremely poor.ScottyBoy_21 wrote:You'll see. Cole will prove you all wrong. And you'll all feel like knobs for doubting him.

OK. Just tell us when this Messi-like player you've been describing to us arrives.

Might not get the chance if we sell him in this window to West Ham

He won the game for us. Not a poor justification at all.
Lucas had an equally good chance in the first half but missed.

So because Lucas missed a chance from two yards and Joe Cole scored a tap in it means you're justified, okay well done.ScottyBoy_21 wrote:kyro7 wrote:I never said he was shit, just your justification for "I told you so" was extremely poor.ScottyBoy_21 wrote:You'll see. The manner in which Cole scored the goal is hardly enough to be singing his praises over. Was a tap in with a hint of an offside.

He did well when he came on though. Okay, he misplaced one pass, but apart from that he was good. I kept an eye on him and he looked really good.

That's not what I'm going on about though is it?ScottyBoy_21 wrote:He will come good and shut you all up.
I'm saying you was going on about him being great and stuff, and his dribbling ability and he just scored a goal which was going in he just had to make contact with the ball.. and that justifies it, whether he does prove the people who are doubting him wrong that means fuck all.

Still nothing to warrant praising him over. Me or you could have had the same impact on the game.
