Because I kept finishing 5th or 6th.
And I was trying to spin a profit at the same time. Impossible with the stupid wage demands.

Re: The Football Manager Chat Thread!
it is easy to spin a profit in the EPL as long as you keep your wage budget around £600k a week

Re: The Football Manager Chat Thread!
That's quite hard when all of my players are demanding over £60k a week.

yes!!!! man utd have bottled it! they lost a match. now i'm 2 points ahead of them with 3 games left
current table as is
never had a title race in FM come this close..... i'm going to need to play my B team against stoke and west ham. i'm gonna throw everything i've got against chelsea, galata, and newcastle
Man Utd's remaining fixtures to the season are (H)Swansea, (A)Chelsea, (A)Wolves. hopefully they can drop some more points so i can play more of my first team players in that FA cup final
lets see whose party Chelsea crashes
cmonnn blackburn

Re: The Football Manager Chat Thread!
LOLOLOL THANK YOU CHELSEA!!!! LOLOLOL
1 more game left to go before i win the title!!! 2 points ahead of man utd and my final game is home to newcastle. a win guarantees me the title. a draw is fine too as long as i maintain a +2 GD over man utd. a loss is fine too only if man utd doesn't win their game
as for man utd, their final game is away to wolves and anything short of a win prevents them from winning the title. if they draw or lose, they will only get 2nd place
cmonnn, so close

Re: The Football Manager Chat Thread!
YESSSS!!!! whoooo, drew 0-0 vs newcastle in the final league game, which still puts blackburn at +1 goal difference over man utd!!!
QUADRUPLEEEEE
barelyyyy won it. can't believe blackburn won on goal difference, and by only 1 goal.

Leicester have just entered administration in my save (I've ended up with Bristol Rovers, in the Championship), haven't seen that before.

Anyone know Benfica's budget?
They had a net spend of £46 million in the first summer. Spent about £30 million on midfielders.

Re: The Football Manager Chat Thread!
Board at Bristol allow me to change my season expectations in January, I switch to "promotion", because it gives me a slightly bigger wage budget.
Sack me for being a few points off the play offs in March, bunch of bellends.

Re: The Football Manager Chat Thread!
just signed 4 more scouts from chile, peru, norway, and poland
which takes my staffed scout count to 32
i used to actually manage all my scouts' scouting assignments back when i had 26 scouts. but with 32 scouts, i think i'm just going to leave it at the hands of my head scout
basically i'm stick of seeing opposition players with masked attributes bc they weren't scouted, and i don't want to cheat and untick the "mask attributes" option

Re: The Football Manager Chat Thread!
Started a new save (the classic version) as unemployed. Went to Ipswich, stayed for a month before bottom of the league Fulham came calling. Ended up 17th in the league, and they sack me.

Re: The Football Manager Chat Thread!
just downloaded the official FM13 13.3.0 update with the latest transfers
i loaded up the editor and looked over some changes. for roma, all player stats/attributes remain the same. piris/goicoechea/castan/dodo are still shitty, even by FM standards. balzaretti is still astonishingly amazing. and marquinhos'potential ability is still a -8. lamela still only has 10/20 finishing
benteke/michu all got significant boosts though. and SI still managed to find time/effort to give man utd a new norwegian -9 potential wonderkid. as usual, serie A gets their neglected treatment. it's not just roma. icardi (sampdoria) is still at -8 potential. and bellomo (bari) still has a shitty fixed 120/200 potential.
disappointed but not surprised

Re: The Football Manager Chat Thread!
found the next Peter Crouch/Nikola Zigic
stats aren't that great but his height makes up for it lol. i'll use him as a bench player and develop him. he'll come useful against defenses who want to stay deep. i already loaned in a veteran nigerian striker with high mental stats to tutor him. just need to get that aggression+bravery stat up
it's hard to find good/tall targetman regen strikers. most of them are pacey south american forwards

Agreed a deal with PSG for them to sign Cabaye at the end of the season for £18m. He's wanted to leave since the start of the season when United enquired about him, the prick.

So I suppose that it is impossible to get a cracked version of FM13?
Shame, cause my Fm12 Poland 2032 save got corrupted.
