Unfortunately, in my opinion there are only two ways to get internet forums to be relatively peaceful.

Either all of your members are just naturally mild mannered and friendly. (Think of a forum of nothing but Harrolds, Zzonkeds, Gordons and Jordis, you know genuinely nice guys.)

Or

Strong armed moderators.

Unfortunately for this forum, our moderators are also genuinely mild mannered and friendly, which makes the strong armed moderators thing difficult.
