All done except statement and choices. I'm going on a last minute open day this Saturday so by Sunday I should have a good idea.

I currently have 2 definite courses though. Northumbria and Notts Trent. Think my others will be Leicester, Birmingham and Southampton/Derby/Sheffield/Manchester

You do know you already need A's or predicted A's for most of those right...

Me and Forest are repping the Mets Chat Thread - Page 12 2156770003

The way I see it is if the city and accomodation is nice why isn't the university? It's the same fucking degree.

You spend around 26% in lectures apparently.

1's more prestigious and 1's more casual, halls will be different but if you're house hunting it will be the same

I might be wrong, but Metropolitan schools seem similar to the state schools over here in that they are okay schools where people go to get drunk and scrape their ways to a degree. There are, of course, exceptions to that rule, but that is just my impression.

Glen, mf, I think in this day and age, my tutor said that the 'mets' 30 - 40 years ago were different types of colleges I can't remember the name. obviously the shit ones are there like London Met apparently but she said that prejudice still lingers around, hopefully it's gone in around 30 years though.

I don't think anyone has that attitude to Uni though, I mean some may have more of a good time, but when you're investing nearly £40,000 for tuition costs alone, no-one is there to piss around.

Most is a bit much, I was referring to Southampton and Birmingham, they're top 20 between them and they'll want a lot for anything tbh

I didn't stay in England long enough to really understand the the university culture. However, the state I live in is cursed with the most disgusting state schools-the honours programs are okay, but then you have the disgusting students that scraped a 2.0 GPA in high school and go off to study at university, washing hundreds of thousands of dollars down the drain just to get a slip of paper that does not even begin to reflect the lack of effort they have put into school and life in general.

I just think that the modern attitude to university is completely wrong. Even the good students have the wrong attitude-many of them choose their universities based on the reputations rather than whether they think that that school will work for them. Then, of course, the lazy students see university as an opportunity to enjoy a lifestyle of unsupervised law breaking and substance abuse.

Admittedly I'm not from an educated background, I think one of my cousins are at Uni, so I think I'm very thankful for the fact I'm just really looking forward to University.

Foncesca, when you say 'facilities'. I don't get you, I'm going to be in a lecture theatre, use computers and on all of my 5 options I am going to be working abroad for one year at a global organisation anywhere in the world.

Surely shit universities will have worse facilities and their links with companies across the globe won't be as great as others. Like Plymouth uni have a partnership with Nvidia and a load of other big companies. . shifty

I probably would've but have to wait for my tutor to do my reference Dry Smile

I did some research and so do my uni's shifty MMU have like Rolls Royce, Disney and the like.

Hmmm, I dunno, I should stop worrying about other people, apart from one of my mates who also does a BTEC on my course everyone else I know that are going to university are doing A-Levels so they're obviously going to be higher.

I'm not sure if I want to go to Plymouth/UWE anymore for fuck sake either.

My parents announced they were going to move back down London way, because they're bored of the South West, I told them this 6 years ago and they didn't listen, I could've had such a more enjoyable life, I've met great people here but the oppurtunited and location is so much better.

What will be will be though.

Hmm, I'm quietley interested in it, I think it's 3rd choice, I'm not sure what the % of how many offers you actually get from your choices either, how many offers did you get?

Few of my mates go there and some go up on a weekend seems quality, it is in a pretty decent position as well, right on the M5.

Need help finding a song mf's. It's played a lot in clubs and bars and featured on Geordie shore.

It has a bit of singing in it too from a woman who sounds similar to the girl who sings in that Titanium song. The beat is fast paced like this:
