I think you'd all feel better if you moved on. Moping isn't going to change the decision. Be critical instead of a shocking defensive performance, something that can be addressed.

It was clearly a goal but it's irrelevant when he shouldn't have even been on the pitchJeff wrote:So you agree it should have been a goal?

"These are real firecrackers of games, with a lot of passion and intensity, which they should be because that is what rivalries are all about," he added.
"But it is also important to stay calm. I think the referee has a big part to play in that. The history of it shows there has been a lot of red cards but I hope that this weekend we might start to get a decision that goes our way for once.
Is Rodgers taking the piss?

Sterling could've easily got sent off for two yellows, Osman's yellow was terribly soft, Suarez should've got sent offSBSP wrote:lawlHitchy wrote:http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20102766

And yet the ultimate decision that changed how the points were actually distributed went against us. Count yourselves lucky.

Nah I'll just assume that when Suarez should've been taking an early shower and you guys down to 10 men we go on to score 3 more goals

I love how on the premierleague site, the Liverpool/Everton picture has Liverpool cheering for a draw.

Even if it was ruled out for the wrong reason it still should not have been a goal.

What about the fact that Everton's goal came from a wrongly awarded throw in, and also the literal anal shafting Fellaini provided on Allen with a flying kick to the chest afterwards?

Your second goal came from a freekick that wasn't a freekick..

Yes, I am sure that posting outrageously biased and questionable statements would be much more compelling.Hitchy wrote:An emoticon eh.... compelling argument you have got thereGlen Damon wrote:

Explain how the three points I made are questionable. Osman's yellow was terribly soft, if that's the precedent for what constituted a yellow card then Sterling's challenge on Baines could've easily been a second yellow. Suarez should've got a yellow for his cynical challenge in the first half on Mirallas (the one which resulted in his injury and forced him off at half time), his challenge on Distin was a straight red alone,if not it should've been his second yellowGlen Damon wrote:Debatable.Bushido wrote:

It was unprofessional from Rodgers. He shouldn't be encouraging those sort of actions, instead just tell him to let his football do the talking (which he did also)El_indian wrote:AndItsKoren! wrote:As funny as Suarez's celebration was, Rodgers shouldn't be laughing at it. Still sitting here waiting for an explanation on how what I said in that comment is incorrect

The referee used common sense when he didn't give Sterling a second yellow, the guy is 17 playing in his first merseyside derby

He still could easily have been sent off though.

That is the worst excuse the referee could possibly come up with.

Yeah, but it would have been harsh on him though
Edit: Urgh, I wasn't saying that as a reply to that Everton fan, I was just saying it

I know you wasn't saying it to him. I'm just saying that it should be the same rules for everyone. Just because you're 17 and it's your first derby doesn't give you extra rights.

Fuck sake Cam.
But yeah, I can't see what's wrong with what Hitchy said. Sterling could have been sent off, Osman was booked for doing just about fuck all, Suarez could/should have seen 2 yellows.

No, but you could see from the way that, after Sterling did that second challenge on Baines (I think), the referee got Gerrard and Sterling and spoke to him that he was telling him to calm down or something. Was probably giving him the benefit of the doubt and saying 'this is your last chance' cos he is inexperienced, etc

I'm not actually kicking up a fuss about Sterling not being sent off, I do think it would've been a bit harsh. Just saying it could've easily happened

He gave Everton a free kick for this.

Out of all the controversial decisions in the match I'm not sure why you're bringing up one that had zero bearing on the outcome
