The mutual respect wasn't all show, for those with doubts. Manning waited an hour and a half with his family Saturday after the Baltimore Ravens' shocking playoff win over the Denver Broncos to have a private moment with Lewis.

There's a lot more emphasis on respect in NFL, a lot more than the premier league anyway. Ray Lewis looks like a badass professor that doesn't play by the rules in that suit and glasses too.

I think in the NFL all these dudes realize that the average career is like 3-4 years, so especially among those who have played 10-15+ years like Ray and Manning, and especially if you've met many times before, a natural respect occurs.

If you have the time take a look at this column, jesus.

I read it and it sounds pretty rough. It's hard to know what to do though, especially with the concussion debates.

I don't know which you support, so from now on I'll imagine you somewhere between Mark Wahlberg and Yosemite Sam.

I once talked to a guy from Boston at my neighbours party and he talked to me about NFL like I had a brain disorder, just like 'Huh Patriots hey, do you like Brady huh?'

Don't blame him, hardly anyone here knows anything. Guy I used to know had a Brady shirt so I talked to him about it and told me he was probably going to retire soon because he's getting too old, this was like 5 years ago. Laughing
