Last year I knew everything there was to know about the game, and I enjoyed it all the same. So to a certain extent it will be good to play the game knowing nothing about it and enjoying it as it comes, however it does get you in the mood and makes you look forward to the game more by watching all the videos and reading about all the new features, but each to their own I suppose.
