Still win the league with ease?

    Bocanegra now shite?

I know I'm not a fan of any club in the SPL or below but I have a decent view of the leagues and the teams you face treat it like a cup final so its not the easy route you say, I still think you will go up but you're giving none of the teams you play credit.

This is the Scottish 4th tier. If you can't win every game with SPL quality players then there's something seriously wrong. This isn't Inverness/Dundee/Dunfermline, this is Berwick and Peterhead for gods sake.

5 out of 11 are SPL players (who incidentally haven't played or trained for 4 months), one of which is a goalkeeper. With a shit defence, the keeper can't really do much. The rest are either unknown, or teenagers.

Every other team in the league has played plenty of pre-season games, we didn't play one. Give them a chance to actually play together/get fit. We'll win the league by at least 20-30 points.

Cribari and Argyriou have decent European pedigree - probably better than SPL standard if anything. Little was a decent SPL player, would easily get a game for most if not all teams other than Celtic. The others aren't just SPL players, they are the cream of the SPL.

When Gretna were in this league they bought cunts like Kenny Deucher and won the league with about 100 points and 130 goals, only dropping points when the league was won ffs. We'll still win the league, but if we don't do it in that sort of style then the season is a failure.

I think outside us there is one full time player in this league ffs.

I wonder how many nations could say that their captain played in a league with the quality of the Scottish Third Division?

He was at fault for both goals yesterday, just about. Laughing

If you asked him personally (obviously you can't), he'd tell you it is harder than it looks. The 3rd division players are very physical and get stuck in, plus it's their only ever chance to play against one of the most decorated football clubs in world history.

I find that when I watch the lower leagues the players may decrease in technical ability but they increase physicality which means that it is actually a lot tougher than it sounds to play

But I could be wrong on Scottish football as I don't watch it

You are most correct chip, we pass all of the teams off of the park as they're shit in terms of playing ability, but when the physical side comes out to play, which is not allowed in the higher divisions, it's more difficult.

I'm fairly sure as your players get more used to playing in a more physical league you'll start to win by large amounts (I could be wrong though, not sure about Scotland)

Except yesterday - the passing was non-existent. We might actually be far better off at home this year because I'd imagine Ibrox has a better playing surface than others with the exception of Hampden.

    Ibrox playing surface >>> Hampden.

We use UV Lights etc to make the grass grow, something which most clubs can't afford.

And as you rightly said, most of the pitches are abysmal.

Blaming the pitches and the physicality for not being able to beat a bunch of semi-pro postmen with SPL standard players? rofl

Fans of Chester City and AFC Wimbledon in England obviously never had these problems as they have made it through many divisions!

Seriously though blaming a pitch is just ridiculous... The list of excuses is rising every day.

I'm not particularly blaming the pitch, not for yesterday anyway. Just in general, the pitch at Ibrox looks bigger and better, so better passers thrive on it - which we must have (although not on the basis of the game against Berwick). We kept lumping it up to Sandaza, who couldn't win anything. It looked tight and there was little space for anyone to really play, which was probably part of Berwick's gameplan so fair play to them.

I just think we're more likely to play a passing game at Ibrox or Hampden.

EDIT: and I never said the other pitches were abysmal either shifty
