He'll be at City next season.

The only other club he will play for is Köln.

Any Arsenal fans that are pissed off at RvP and couldn't understand our reaction when we sold Torres, just think of this feeling, and then imagine it all happening on deadline day...

Supposedly Alex Song's attitude has been "disgusting" lately so Arsene has told him he can leave.

Is it time to start saying Arsene out? Fab, Nasri, RVP, all gone. If Wilshere evolves into a truly world class player he'll be out in a few years as well, what are you guys doing now... you're like the other 16 clubs in the Premier League, just existing. This is crazy.

Please fuck off, I mean that in the most polite sense.

Wenger is a miracle worker and the van Persie deal is evidence of it.

We're fucked. It's not Wenger agreeing these deals though, it's the board. It's not Wenger's responsibility to have player's contracts extended too.

In all seriousness, he doesn't seem like THAT much of a loss. He scored a hell of a lot of goals last season but there are loads of strikers out there who can finish like him. He's not like Ronaldo or Torres who offered more than that. Also he's old and a crock.

And last season was a fluke. Official Arsenal FC Thread - Page 27 3925848005

Oh he is, a trophy cabinet that was once full is now empty, what an amazing disappearance act.

Wenger will always have my respect and admiration for his style, his success and his buisness sense, but you guys are going up against Russian oligarchs and shieks, not to mention United, you have to spend money to make a challenge, you have a surplus of cash, instead you sell to them? This is ridiculous.

Wenger has influence, it shouldn't haven gotten this far, I'm sure players love to pay at Arsenal but at a certain point everyone needs trophies to be satisfied, he hasnt really done much in the past few years to get closer to obtaining some, he's gotten farther away and the players know that. If you are a world class player and are over 26 years old why would go to Arsenal? Unless you are being developed by Arsene himself, I don't know why any truly great player would go there.

And I consider Santi Cazorla an amazing player but I'm talking about the top 25-30 guys in the world here.

I think we'll have a better season than the last anyway. I think this is somewhat similar to the Henry departure back in 2007. Fabregas said that they always looked where Henry was on the pitch in order to give him the ball. That was kind of what happened last season with van Persie. We were very dependent on him and it really did limit us. Without him in the team, we'll have a couple of outlets from which we can create opportunities. We've brought in three very talented attacking players and with them in the squad, our front line and our midfield still look very good. We're getting good money here and it is of paramount importance to strengthen the squad with it. A couple of reinforcements and I genuinely believe that we will still have enough to compete for titles.

Of course this doesn't mean that he won't be a loss. He's a world class striker and no team in the world can claim that losing a player like isn't a blow. But I do think it's possible to come out of this a better team.

    Fuck RvP.

One good season and he's thinking he's hot shit. I imagine he'll be back to his usually injury ridden self soon enough.

The Song thing is a shock though. Although if his attitude really has gone so bad Wenger wants him gone then so be it. Rather we had players with the right attitude that want to play for Arsenal.

24m isn't bad for RvP anyways. If we reinvest then brilliant, that and some Song money could net us a few quality players. If not then we've got some great players already.
