Sounding nice from Arsenal fans, not sure if I should be worried or not.. probably should be because you're going to keep Rvp as well.. this season should be epic.

It was a very good performance, the first half was great especially. RvP's still going to be off, even got booed near the end of the game when he had the ball.kyro7 wrote:Sounding nice from Arsenal fans, not sure if I should be worried or not.. probably should be because you're going to keep Rvp as well.. this season should be epic.

Are you serious? Koscielny's definitely starting with Vermaelen by his side.Paulinho wrote:blackskar wrote:Team looks promising.SzczesnyTeam to start the season for me. RvP out if he goes and if he stays as he looks like he's lacking match fitness to me. Yennaris looks more comfortable then Jenkinson at RB too.
Yennaris Koscileny Vermaelen Gibbs
Arteta Song
Walcott ------ Cazorla ------ Podolski
Giroud
When Sagna is fit replace Yennaris and when Wilshere is fit he can rotate with Arteta.
Excited to see the team play in the EPL now
Team looks fucking solid. I've got a feeling we'll be seeing Mertesacker instead of Koscielny though ..
And Cazorla in the first half

That was by the Koln fans because he's Dutch and they hate the dutch.

He means for the first game, neither of them are really fit, so i'm guessing whoever's the fittest will start, but Koscielny will start long term.

I meant fitness wise, todays lineup could be illuminating. I dno, I obviously prefer Koscielny, It's up to Wenger . I like Per a lot but Koscielny's pace is indispensable, and he was truly excellent last season

I'm pretty sure both will be fit for it, with Koscielny starting alongside Vermaelen.arsenalap11 wrote:19Jones19v wrote:It was a very good performance, the first half was great especially. RvP's still going to be off, even got booed near the end of the game when he had the ball.

Oh fair enough, it looked like you meant for the season on a whole, I still feel Koscielny will be fully fit for the first game. Look what he said about Giroud and Podolski missing the start of the season, yet they played a week before.Paulinho wrote:I meant fitness wise, todays lineup could be illuminating. Giroud
Podolski - Cazorla - Walcott
Coquelin - Chamberlain
All linked up well in that formation, the front 4 played well. I'd replace Gervinho with Walcott. Chamberlain and Coq had great movement in there also, can't wait for the season to start.

Up until the end of August then he'll be off, your second bid will secure him.

I knew Carzola would play best in a Central Midfield role, as opposed to on the wing.

I expect Chamberlain to have a season like Wilshere's last one, playing out of position to gain a bit of experience, hope it goes well, unlike Bendtner's right-wing episode...

It's not out of position, he said he wants to play centrally in the future, and Wenger has said it too if that's what you're relating too? I swear i've said that 50 times in this thread

Re: Official Arsenal FC Thread
I can only see him starting on the wings, coming off then bench will give him a better chance of playing centrally. Today he played deep (Song and Arteta's position), don't think he wants to be playing that deep in the future I think.

Anyone who says "fuck off robin" etc are clowns.
He's twice the striker Giroud or Podolski will ever be, if he goes we're not challenging for any trophies either.

One good thing about RVP going is that he's never going to have a better season than last.

I do love RVP. And understand his mindset completely. I'm fine either way.

Re: Official Arsenal FC Thread
I'd prefer him to stay, but I want to see what Podolski and Giroud are capable of too. I wouldn't want them to waste away on the bench...Fuck I feel like a spoilt PSG fan, yet I'm talking about Arsenal. Is this real life?
I know RVP is better than them, but they are different sorts of players too
