Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
We now have four players(and half of them could be considered mediocre) that play in the exact same position in midfield. We should have bought a half decent winger before signing a player like Allen and that's not even taking into account he cost us 17 fucking million.

"Hopefully between now and the end of August we can get some more players in who can help the players we have here. That would be great. I don't really want to say how many I'd like to bring in, because if I say three for instance, then people might say you've not got three if it doesn't happen. It is always complex at a big club. What I have learnt here very quickly is the minute Liverpool are interested it adds about two noughts onto the price tag of a player, it's absolutely incredible."

Allen, Henderson and Adam? If you guys don't sign Gaston Ramirez I can't see you guys finishing above Spurs or Newcastle.

You can't just name our midfield while excluding Lucas. And Adam and Henderson aren't looking like starters. And Allen is Iniesta.

We need a good back up for Lucas and another striker or 6 if we're ever going to challenge for top four.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Fair enough, so you guys are going 4-3-3 or is it Allen and Lucas sitting deep with Gerrard in front?Jay wrote:19Jones19v wrote:Allen, Lucas and Gerrard? If you guys don't sign Gaston Ramirez I can't see you guys finishing above Spurs or Newcastle.

Lucas fully fit for the start of the season I take it. I know you've been asked many times where you think you'd finish in the table, but finishing 5th above Spurs and Newcastle? Would you lot take that now?Eternal Witcher wrote:You can't just name our midfield while excluding Lucas. And Adam and Henderson aren't looking like starters. And Allen is Iniesta.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Dammn that was beautiful performance...best I've seen since the 5-2 over Fulham!
The natural understanding and interchanging of positions between Suarez and Borini is Great, i really liked Borini
Best performance I've seen from Gerrard in a long time. And finally we have somebody who wants to play him off the striker. Daglish had Gerrard sitting wayyy to deep, or maybe we were so shit the Gerrard was dropping deeper to get the ball - either way he was terrible.
Having Lucas back obviously helps, he is looking like his usual self. He's gonna be monster this season, i feel it.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Depends on the performances, I'd take that spot as long as Suarez and Borini score for fun/ish along the way.19Jones19v wrote:Fair enough, so you guys are going 4-3-3 or is it Allen and Lucas sitting deep with Gerrard in front?Jay wrote:

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
When Liverpool play at their best, the quality of the opponents does not matter. It does not give a damn. Real Madrid, Chelsea, United etcetera. Easy pickings when the boys get their high tempo game right.ViVaRooney wrote:it was against bloody nobodies lmao and you are comparing it to a premier league game?

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
its hard to get a tempo going when you dont have the ball and are losing 3-0
