I personally, would love to see a midfield trio of Allen, Lucas and Shelvey.

Where do you think you'll finish next season?

Lucas (Looked like he's never been away, when he jumped into that challenge it put a smile on my face)
Spearing (Massive massive gap in class between him and Lucas. It's simple, he lacks ability, no more starts for him)
Gerrard (Started off shit and like I said got better once Lucas came on. Way waaay off his best though)
Henderson (Absolute shambles, did he complete a pass?)

As for Shelvey starting over Gerrard. I wouldn't go that far just yet.

The defence was worse last night, they looked all over the shop, constantly giving it away. Hopefully just a sign of no match fitness, but the defenders don't really seem to be enjoying the whole work it from the back routine. They'd rather just hoof it up the park and get rid of it.

    Calm down.

I expect Man City, Chelsea, Man United, Spurs, Arsenal and potentially Newcastle to finish ahead of us, so 6th-7th. Maybe 8th if Everton have a great season.

Its still pre season and you can see our players where not 100% fit yet, FC Gomel have played about 15 games or something in their League so they were going to be more match fit than us last night. So hopefully when we get a few new faces in and Saurez and the likes back we will get the players back to being match fit and then we will see how things go.

I think we will finish about 6th but hopefully not that far away from 5th or that 4th place, although i would not mind if i was wrong and we do finish higher.

It wasn't a hard question Razz

But kk, fair enough then. I was going to say a Lucas - Allen - Shelvey midfield surely isn't going to finish near the top 4, but you know that already. Shame because your defense is better then Spurs' and Newcastles,

Would any of you realistically like Walcott btw?

7 million apparently or something like that.

I would want Walcott, if we played him as a Striker.

"After costs, about nothing. It seems to be along the lines of Fiorentina will pay Liverpool 4M euros for the transfer. Liverpool will pay 200k euros to Roma and 3.4M euros to Aquilani to supplement his wages. I imagine the rest will disappear in fees. It is pretty much the "release" deal Aquilani and his agent have been trying for."

Nevertheless, with the departure of Aquilani, added to Aurélio, Kuyt and Rodríguez, we'll will save in excess of £15m per year in wages.
