After having a go at Piers for living and working abroad, you're saying Beckham wouldn't stay in his own country because it would mean playing for Man U's rivals.

The fact Beckham repeatedly returned to Europe in order to have a better chance for England pretty much shows he cares about playing for his country. Also I don't think he's as stupid as people make out.

Beckham never allowed playing abroad affect his chances of representing his country. At LA Galaxy he'd miss a game for them to fly crazy distances to play for England. As Sean said, he went on loan twice in Milan to convince Capello he was still capable of playing at the top level as he wanted to play in a 4th world cup, and probably the only reason he didn't was injury.

I don't have anything against Beckham at all, I'm just pointing out how much hyprocritical gobshite Danny likes to post.
