Congratulations you have a player that you don't need on monster wages.

    Rooney - 250k per week
Van Persie - At least 200k per week
    Hernandez - 60k per week
Welbeck - 20k per week I(Allegedly wants 60k that and will probably be granted)
    Kagawa - 50k?
    Berbatov - 90k per week

    clap Marvellous job.

    Rooney's wage isn't true.
    Berbatov will be shifted soon.

I imagine Arsenals thoughts are "fuck off United" and "what a wanker RvP is"

Journalists saying we're sticking firm on our asking price. It'll happen though, RvP will throw his toys out the pram again at some point soon and start crying.

Obviously signing a Magnificant Spanish international, a 100 cap German international and a up and coming French striker aswell as a potential midfielder is a lack of ambition.

Who's going to pay Berbatov a fuckload, I don't see any team that's going to take him on unless he takes a 50% pay-cut.

It will when your midfield gets destroyed again in the champions league and it becomes apparent that neglecting the midfield once again was a big mistake.

Sir Alex on RvP: "We've made a bid, they've been trying to negotiate with other clubs. We have to persevere. Hopefully it comes our way."

Fergie on RvP: "I don't have a gut feeling about it. We can't get a break through with Arsenal. Its hard to know their thoughts."

Fergie on Moura: "its amazing PSG can pay 45m Euros for a 19yr old. The only deterrent left is UEFA. Platini will be concerned"

Welbeck won't get 60k, they'll reach a compromise somewhere, I doubt he'll want to leave United and United won't want him to leave.

So because a newspaper report said he wants to match it, that's definitive? There's no guarantee we'll even sign the guy. Also, everything I've heard to do with Rooney's contract puts it at around 180k a week.

Berba has around a year left on his current deal if we don't shift him now he'll be gone by the summer.

As an Arsenal fan the kind of wages we give our players shouldn't really concern you though, especially if RvP's arrival helps us to win the league or more.

He'll get near enough 60k, he's going to want something similar to what Hernandez gets.

Where did I say it was definitive? it's estimates quite clearly. I'd base my estimates off an article rather than you getting defensive over an extra 20k a week. His basic wage might be 180k but it will be a lot more when you include image rights etc.

Yeah he'll be gone by next summer and United would've needlessly splashed out an extra 5 million a year in wages which is ludicrous considering they could've just let him go on a free.

It's irrelevant who I support, I'm telling you I think it's ludicrous that United could potentially be paying out around 650k a week just on forwards by the end of this transfer window. That signing isn't going to significantly strengthen United.

The whole statement was him throwin his toys out the pram. The whole poit of the statement was to make his position at Arsenal untenable and force a move away.

Looking more and more likely it's worked too.

Can't say I'm shitting bricks either. Can honestly not see where he fits into your team.

    All he said was..

I personally have had a great season but my goal has been to win trophies with the team and to bring the club back to its glory days. Out of my huge respect for Mr. Wenger, the players and the fans I don’t want to go into any details, but unfortunately in this meeting it has again become clear to me that we in many aspects disagree on the way Arsenal FC should move forward.

I’ve thought long and hard about it, but I have decided not to extend my contract. You guys, the fans, have of course the right to disagree with my view and decision and I will always respect your opinions.

I love the club and the fans, no matter what happens. I have grown up and became a man

Hardly "throwing toys out the pram". Just saying whats going on and said he does not agree how we are moving forward.

Since then, Usmanov went off on one at the board and we signed a highly rated midfielder in Cazorla. Maybe what he said about bringing us back to the glory days was part of it.. and its working. You can speculate on it from many points of view, but he didn't go mental, hand in a transfer request or disrespect the club.

What do you mean he won't fit? There is rotation, you guys keep forgetting about that. Besides, Berbatov is leaving and Hernandez is a clown on the ball. Our other striker is still a bit inexperienced, Van Persie would be a great signing.

Cazorla has been a long term target of Wengers. RvP had sweet fuck all to do with it. He missed out last season due to the Cesc fiasco dragging out and made his move quickly this window after the Malaga problems become clear.

That can't be the whole thing either. Fairly certain there was a bit about Gazidis being on holiday when he wasn't.

Edit: not saying anymore on the RvP statement. Said my peice on it when it as 1st released and this is the wrong thread anyways.

You believe what you want and I'll stick to mine. Smile
