It's brilliant to watch when we lose. Everyone who phones in goes mental All of them act like rabid dogs. Yet when we win it's all sunshine and daisies. Even the 8 year olds ring in.Cam wrote:You watch LFCTV?
I only watch it after we've lost or done really shit so I can watch the presenters have to calm down angry fans.

I've never watched it when we've won, but I can imagine what it's like. I just like hearing stuff like 'Carroll is the worst player to ever play for this team, and i've watched us for about 50 years!!' and the panelists are like 'I think you're being a bit hars-' 'NO I'M NOT'

I remember when Lucas was 'bad' and everyone phoned in with "That Lucas fella is one of the most useless players I have ever seen put on the red shirt"
2 years later
"I've always been a supporter of Lucas Leiva"

Several reasons for that other than Liverpool fans being lying bastards who perform mental gymnastics.
For a start he's improved since then, as one would expect with his age. He's also surrounded by far worse players than he was back then, he's not filling in for a World Class player, he's the best you've got, that makes him look better. I think the biggest reason though is that now that he's playing well people feel more comfortable with saying that they support him, and the people who used to slag him off now be quiet. There's this perception that it's the same people praising him now who were slagging him off but they probably aren't actually the same, they're just Liverpool fans.

What sort of wages is Bellamy on? Even though he can only play once a week, when he plays he seemed to be one of our better players. We shouldn't be entertaining offers for him unless he wants to leave.
We're going to be left with essentially two forwards after we sell Carroll.....

A good thing out of Carroll's possible leaving is that we'll buy a new striker.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
"Alongside talent, the biggest thing for me in young players is personality. It's having the personality to play, and having that courage. Not all young players are ready to play for such a prestigious club as Liverpool. It takes time.
For me, the age isn't a barrier. If they're good enough, if they have the personality and the talent, then I'm always willing to put them in."
Sterling and Suso may actually have a chance..

Hey hey.
Been away for a while.
What are people's thoughts on this new kid Borini and on the prospect of selling/loaning Carroll?
