Pretty sure Rodgers is not going to be judged as a manager by what he does with Carroll.Jord wrote:Anyway it doesn't matter

Dempsey for 5 mill would be good business, not sure what Allen would cost Twitter says he's close to joining as well. Would need to move soem midfielders out.
Walcott would probably be good for us, and as has been pointed out he plays for Arsenal, a team that do the pass and move stuff and he does well. Only 12 months on his contract left. Arsenal seem to get paid well for their players, though. We'd surely be held ransom to the English tax, and I am sure we can find better value elsewhere. I wouldn't complain and he is "proven" but thhat got us fucked last year. Would just as well pay for Mertens

Something like 22 goals and 23 assists over the last two seasons. Compared to Downing's output.....

Isn't Suarez missing the first few games of the season due to his involvement in the Olympics? If we sell Carroll we would be stuck with only one striker(borini) when the season begins, fuck that.

I'm firmly in the camp that we aren't that retarded and we're buying more strikers, especially if we sell Carroll.

Brendan Rodgers is "desperate" to sign Theo Walcott.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
It could be a great buy at a good price. He only has 12 months left on his contract. Scores and creates goals, attacks defenders, counters with pace. Some of the things that our current players outside of suarez dont do.
And as you know, just like every player in the world, he has been a Red his whole life.
Edit: Saying that, don't think we'll get him.

How does that have any relevance to him being good with 'Pass + move football'? He's shit, he couldn't play that type of football to save his life.
All he can do is finish decently and run, make no mistake about it

Obviously you watch more Arsenal games and bla bla bla but the relevance being he has produced well in a team that plays like Arsenal, which generally is understood to be pass and move and flowing beautiful football or whatever you want to call it.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
He plays in a flowing team and breaks the flow almost everytime he gets the ball. That's why Arsenal fans get so frustrated with him during the season, he does chip in with goals and assists though.. which helps make up for being completely shit for 85 mins of every match.Mustangt125 wrote:Fonseca wrote:

You're not even reading anything I've said. He is a crap footballer who can't play pass and move football, just because he plays in a team like that it does not mean he can ffs
He gets destroyed by crap fullbacks who are slower than him

Fonseca, at least you actually have sense. Surely you would want us to buy him so you can either replace him or give Oxo more playing time.

Theo'd be stupid to leave Arsenal for Liverpool.
I'd love to hear his reasoning on leaving us too.

Probably better wages and no Oxlade-Chamberlain there to bother him.

If I was Theo I would leave to start again fresh. Also knowing that Chamberlain will eventually replace me if I stay.BladeGunner wrote:Walcott wrote:Theo'd be stupid to leave Arsenal for Liverpool.

Chamberlain's most likely going to be moved to CM, he won't be replacing Walcott unless he turns to utter shit this season.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Only thing Walcott has over Chamberlain is speed (which is marginal) and finishing, other than that Chamberlain has eclipsed him every other department, wouldn't be a major loss if we lose him anyway.
