Re: Football at the 2012 Olympics
Well done Mexico, I'm not as mad as I expected.
In other news, Juan is the worst defender to ever play in the olympics, very average...in fact pure shit.
Neymar is still a complete monster, he just do unlucky. I feel so sorry for him, all that burden for a youngster.
So glad this team was mainly u23, I'd be crying if this was our senior team.

Juan and the goalkeeper were your worst players this tournament. Rafael got injured before the tournament so the lack of a good goalkeeper is understandable, but is Juan really the best CB Brazil has in this age group? I guess it doesn't matter since you guys have Thiago, Luiz, and Dede for a while.

Re: Football at the 2012 Olympics
Well Juan looked ok in the SA youth cup and FIFA u20 but Bruno Uvini shots on him and they are same age group. Gabriel is actually decent, just pressure got to him..I'm also not impressed with the midfield, Fernando would have done a much better "xabi Alonso style" job than Romulo but Romulo still did pretty good.SophisticatedBeggar wrote:chiboygeorge wrote:Well done Mexico, I'm not as mad as I expected.

The last two games Neymar was also played off, I think when he has freedom through the middle he's most dangerous!

Re: Football at the 2012 Olympics
Rafael was very good in this tournament, as was Oscar and so was the rest of the Brasil team. Finding it very stupid that people suddenly find them a shit team (Not on this forum before anyone jumps on me) .

Danilo is not a better RB than Rafael.

Rafael Toloi, Manoel, and Maicon (Porto) are Brazil's best U23 CB's. However, Toloi was playing in the 2nd division until a month or two ago, Manoel is still playing there, and Maicon is a bit of an unknown since he never played in Brazil. So Mano went for the guys like Juan and Uvini b/c they have the backing and the interest from big clubs b/c of the U20 WC win. Stupid decision.
