Someones just asked my advice on how to get over his parents splitting up and hearing his dad say shit loads of horrible things about his mom and not bring able to tell her because she will just breakdown and he wants my advice. what am I supposed to say?

Don't tell her right away. If he feels she needs to know what is being said and it's that important he should say something.

He knows his mum better than us. He should know what to do.

It's probably more the fact he wants someone to talk to rather than advice, it really must be horrible for him.
