To all United inquiries. Fergie does business when he thinks it's right. He passed up on Sneijder and Hazard. And he will with Modric ...

he passed on hazard? i think its the other way around
on sneijder i am happy we passed, there is no way he is worth more then £30m and no way in hell is he worth the wages he gets

Re: Manchester United FC Official Thread
If Ferguson had wanted Hazard enough I'm sure he could have got him. He's got this obsession with value though, it doesn't matter if it costs us a chance in the CL, it doesn't matter if it costs us the title, what matters is that he personally doesn't get screwed. Fucking egomaniac.

If Hazard plays anything like he did against England on a regular basis then I'm glad we didn't get him, although I highly doubt it.

We had an offer accepted, it was wages we lost out on.

Re: Manchester United FC Official Thread
good, he should be happy with £70-90k, unproven young player
whats with these players thinking they should be earning top money right away? you are young, you have ample time to show what you can do and then you will earn what you deserve
i have no problem with fergie taking these stance cause i would do the same.

You'd get left behind as well then. Wages are dictated by the market.

He's one of the finest talents in Europe who has excelled in France and played very well in the Champions League. He doesn't need to prove himself

played very well in CL?? wtf you on about 6 apps 0 goals 1 assist...
excelled in france? only his last season and france isnt a big league, look at chamakh
£70-90k is far from spare change, its what he is worth right now. but wanting as much as veterans like Rio get is pathetic

Yes, as in he played well in the matches Lille had in the champions league? I don't really know how you can misunderstand that.
He's been good for 3 seasons in France...
What he's worth right now is whatever anyone is willing to pay him, and there's little doubt that he's one of the finer talents in Europe. It's not too strange that he wants wages on par with other young established talent to be fair. It's not like he's the only player in his early 20s earning £100k+ in wages.

Of course not, I'm simply relaying what people have told me.

Of course I had heard of Eden Hazard, he's been a talent to watch since he was 18...

I watched Hazard twice in the CL and he was class both times, stood out, was especially good against CSKA Moscow.

Re: Manchester United FC Official Thread
now everyone knows him, ofcourse lol
where were all the knowledgeable people when no one could say where he played (wing or AM)
you all knew him from FM or FIFA maybe but none of you remotely watched him or else you would have known those simple questions. not once was he mentioned as a player we should be signing
you are all like babies, now that someone else got him you wish you had him. but if he was still at lillie no one would give a shit

If he was still at Lille he would still be available due to the fact that Lille isn't a European Superpower. Just like no one, except Santos fans, really gives a damn that Neymar is still playing for Santos, many people would be disappointed to see him sign for a rival team.
If Modric stays at Spurs, then I'm fine with that, because that means he wasn't available to get. If he goes to Chelsea however, then not fine as that means we lost out on him.

I'm asking because I'm curious if your claim that he was never mentioned as somebody United should sign is accurate.

Also at this, he wasn't mentioned because the positions he plays best aren't priority for us, but he'd most likely improve us.. I don't think we particularly need him.ViVaRooney wrote:not once was he mentioned as a player we should be signing
