That's one of two periods where I was close to making a conscious decision to being done with football.

    What was the other? shifty

We'd have been absolutely fucked without him. On paper our team is a little average without him, and we usually don't play well when he isn't there.

Potentially, if he doesn't accept a deal. shifty

Think he said in a Portguese interview that him and his agent have sent United a counter offer, and they've got to agree/disagree to the offer United give the player.

    Fuck selling him. alee2

    http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11667/7791543/Nani-ponders-future-options
Manchester United winger Nani is keeping his option opens as contract negotiations continue with the club.

The 25-year-old has spent five years at Old Trafford since joining from Sporting Lisbon in 2007, but is now seemingly pondering his next move.

In an interview with Portuguese television station RTP he said: "I am really happy but I don't know about my future. Now I will study opportunities.

"Football is not only about England or Spain. It is possible to enjoy success in other countries.

"My agent is waiting on news about United. We have presented a counter-offer and now we are waiting on an offer from the club."

The Cristiano Ronaldo is strong with this one.

Only read few a few comments on the article, but it's confirmed my belief that there really are some retards browsing skysports.com.

Nani has been at OT for 5 yrs and said he wanted to follow in Ronaldo's shoes. Well I'm sorry Nani but your time is up in my opinion. You've not reached those heights to hot and cold for me,not consistant enough. Sell him on Sir Alex get 20 million + and go and buy some steel for our midfield we've lacked that since Keano left the club. If we buy right during the summer we can regain OUR trophy M.U.F.C TILL I DIE. TITLE ON LOAN FOR 1 SEASON...KEEP IT POLISHED

Yeah, good idea. Use money we'd get for Nani to strengthen in the centre and not improve on the wing. facepalm

To be fair, with Kagawa coming in the wing isn't really that "weak". Midfield however sort of is.

It's still a stupid suggestion. Kagawa or no Kagawa, if we sold Nani and didn't buy a replacement we'd be considerably weaker on the wing. Laughing

let him leave, he is over rated and cant cross a ball to save his life!!! rofl

I'm not reading any of them any more.

To be fair, your midfield does need strengthening. Young and Valencia cover your wing positions no?

If we sold Nani and didn't buy a winger, they'd start yeah.

But if one was injured we'd have to put in Park or Giggs lmao.

If we sold Nani central midfield would still be the weakest area of the side and we'd still be very strong on the wings. We're not going to buy another midfielder though because we have 6-8 players for two position there in the formation we play for at least 90% of our fixtures.

We could also play Kagawa, Cleverley or Welbeck there. What the fuck do we do if Carrick's injured?

we been linked with dembele and i wouldnt actually mind him, if he wasnt too expensive. he wouldnt expect to start every game and he would be a good presence in the midfield which we desperately lack

I didn't say centre midfield wasn't an issue, so I don't know why you're bringing that up.

Nani's better than them out wide (presumably better than Kagawa) do we'd be considerably weaker on the wing.
