Re: Manchester United FC Official Thread
Alan, we only have the independent report to go off of, and that says that Suarez was guilty of using "Negro" in a derogatory manner numerous times.

All I am indirectly saying is that we need a new striker. That was my original point. I repeat, one injury to Rooney and we are screwed for the rest of the season. Why do we need to rely so much on one player? I say, bring in another striker who can pick up the slack if/when Rooney is injured.

The song about killing any bastard that gets in our way is obviously not a serious threat. What is serious is barracking victims of racial abusing and calling them liars because it was one of your lot that abused them, what is serious is racially abusing players, and then justifying it by saying it's because he's a Manc (evne if he's from Norwich) and meeting the police with a wall of silence, what is serious is making monkey gestures towards black players.
As a former student of psychology it's a fascinating case study of cognitive dissonance that you aren't instantly repulsed by all the disgusting things your club and its fans do. If this was a Spanish or French team and I explained to you everything they got up to you'd have nothing but contempt for them.
And you were there and heard that it was actually racist abuse. And you are full of shit making out all Liverpool fans are the same, and all Manchester United fans are not racist, good and bad in all. And if i heard anyone racially abusing anyone at a football game, I would not give a fuck if they were Liverpool supporters i would tell the truth about what i heard and so would loads of Liverpool fans. And there are a lot of people from different races go to watch Liverpool aswell and i dont think they would just sit there and listen to people racially abusing others just because they are Liverpool fans.
Your head is so far up your own arse, come back down to the real world. The song about killing people should not be allowed, if its a serious threat or not.
No, Alan, I wasn't there, but the only independent investigation by disinterested parties found that Suarez had indeed racially abused Patrice Evra. There was no evidence to the contrary other than the opinions of people who weren't there, such as Kenneth Dalglish, and Luis Suarez himself, all of whom had an interest in seeing Suarez found innocent, and yet Liverpool fans have castigated Evra as a liar and deceiver.
Would you agree that this abuse, and the abuse of the Ferdinands and Tom Adeyemi, may discourage victims of racial abuse from reporting it in the future?
I don't believe you would tell the truth about what you heard because of the cognitive dissonance I alluded to earlier. Being in a crowd full of people who give a particular account of events, however absurd, (ie. saying the words "Manc Twat" rather than "Black Twat" were aimed at a black man from Norwich) can genuinely change one's memory, especially in a tribal environment like a football stadium, and particularly when someone from the opposing team is claiming something against one of your own. It's even moreso when successive legendary managers have managed to convince most of the Liverpool fanbase that they are the victims of multiple national conspiracies, most recently involving a black man playing the race card to get Liverpool's completely innocent striker banned.

I would love him to stay if he was content to sit on the bench, but from what it sounds, that's not how he see's his last few footballing years panning out.

I don't want United to spend money on Leighton Baines because he is an average footballer, and Evra shits on him. I'd rather play one of the twins there or Johnny Evans.

Evra has not been shit, he's just been below his own exceptional standards due to extremely stressful and emotionally devastating events in his personal life, his professional life, and his international career.

Hello Alan, I'm saddened you take such an attitude to the death of a man's brother. Please answer the question I posed earlier
Would you agree that the abuse of Evra, the Ferdinands and Tom Adeyemi, may discourage victims of racial abuse from reporting it in the future?

Never said anything about the mans brother, and i feel sorry he lost his brother. I wonder when the day will come, when they take chants of killing people in the same light as racial abuse.

Why do i need to answer the question, as you have already made your mind up about me and all the Liverpool fans. So why would i care about racial abuse, because im a Liverpool fan and according to you we all are racists.

Over 1500 goals scored in the premier league, awesome.
