He's has the worst win percentage of any Premier League Wigan manager.
He's set numerous goals conceded records.
I can't believe fannies like you notice him for the last month or two of the season and think fuck me he could manage Liverpool. Every season there's always a relegation scrapper that beats the drop. Ok he's done it a few times but that doesn't qualify him for the Liverpool job.
Rafa is interested. A CL, La Liga, UEFA Cup, and FA cup winner but we're going for Martinez.
That is why he should not be offered the job.

He has his squad stripped every season! Not only has he shown he can beat the drop with the worst team in the division, he has also proven he is not scared to change things and also is intelligent enough to change things correctly. All this while not altering the way he likes the game to be played, a type of game which is much better suited to better players.
Someone has to give him a chance, and when he is given that chance I'm 100% sure he'll take it. As for Benitez, he wont fit in with the way the club are going, he wont have full control and it'll just be a waste of time.
I hope he doesn't go to Liverpool anyway, the fans will try to ruin his career. The guy is fairly loyal with ambition, exactly what Liverpool need right now.

That's fair enough but considering we still see ourselves as CL hopefuls and have been out of it for a while, I don't think we should be taking gambles at this time and giving him his chance. Let him go to Villa and see how he does there, if he excels then maybe come to us after. But we're in no position to be taking fucking huge gambles right now.
We don't have a squad, or even first team fit enough for the CL and I don't think Martinez is the man to build that for us right now. I'd feel much safer with Benitez who made us feared in Europe and who's biggest transfer fee spent was just over 20m.

Its a funny old game, but i thought that 1984 was going to be the only time i would see Liverpool win the European cup, but 21 years later it happened. You just never know with football.Cadbury wrote:Alan wrote:Top of the fekin world
It's a shame we're shit and will never witness it again.
I don't think we should, he looked pretty good in the beginning of the season, it was not until that arrogant tosser Gerrard returned that Adam had a dip in form. He also set up a decent number of goals, from memory.Cadbury wrote:Will also be interesting to see if we get rid of that Charlie Adam thing.
